“If you insist.” he hummed bringing over honey and the perfectly steeped tea and led her into his spare bedroom that had turned into the studio. He kicked his shoes off and into the hall taking off his shirt and rolled up his paint stained jeans wearing a sports bra as he got started working on putting paint on the palette and placing a sketched out canvas up, pressing play on his phone to fill the room with music as he got started.

It was an energetic song- something that seemed polar opposite of the artist who was mixing paint in front of her.

It wasn’t a surprise to Peter his relationship didn’t last, few did and he had come to terms with his sheer inability to make something work with a woman. It was fine, all he needed was a few drinks to forget and move on and where better than to order a full bottle at his regular haunt.
