people being all like “well jasons death was for the best cause we got red hood!” as if jason wasn’t already interesting as robin is a stab in my liver
that was a kid who wanted to do what was right and starting to figure out batman and robin weren’t enough to do that. the boy was gonna be revolutionary he didn’t need to die to be interesting

What’s your favorite Marvel and DC crossover ship?
John and Remy would be fighting over poker then having the craziest one night stand
kind of obsessed with how chris bachalo draws remy, ngl. goofy lil guy
Rogue & Gambit's age gap is bigger than Kitty & Colossus, btw. And they met when Rogue was barely an adult (19) and Gambit was older than 25.
I mean shouldn't even talk about the age factor, Gambit was MARRIED and that alone makes everything sketchy.
remy from the tired rabbit au. he has a tiny sprite!!! lobe him
Ugh I've been seeing this so too much and I'm really over it: No, neither Rogue, nor Gambit are good metaphors for asexuality. And I really don't care that it is your personal 'headcannon', it is a stupid headcanon. Headcanons exist to add onto a missing part of the canon, not to change it. And it's just another symptom of the fanon replacing the canon, especially Gambit's canon, which becomes my problem because they've butchered him more than enough at this point. I'm really over all of this wishful thinking (of certain fans) being forced to a point it becomes a delusion that attempts to change the fucking CANON itself.
Here is why, neither Rogue, nor Gambit are asexual, nor are good metaphors or representation for asexuality:
Gambit is a recorded sex pest, he is very allosexual and feels attraction to people. His inability to touch Rogue had never been comforting to him. He had always tried to breach that personal space, trying to touch her and at every moment he could get the chance to, and at every moment they could touch. When their powers were nulled due to power inhibitor collars, Gambit could've free them but the guy LIED to a distressed Rogue, so he could fuck her, in a cave. That was Rogue's first sexual experience. Gambit is as asexual as Frank Reynolds from IASIP is.
Rogue's entire 'issue' with her inability to touch literally stems from her allosexuality. She was barely ever bothered by it when it didn't involve sexual access to men. She was DESPERATE to touch men and felt incredibly insecure about it. Her character is nothing close to asexual rep, if anything, she's a metaphor for a disabled or incurably ill person who yearns to have physical connection just like any other woman of her age, but is rejected by most men due to it. The only thing she has in common with ace folks is that ace folks have problem finding romantic partners because of their lack of sexual attraction and lower libidos. But Rogue's insecurity literally stems from the opposite of what asexual folks deal with. It's not the emotional she's yearning, she is yearning for a full on allosexual connection with a man. Rogue never just needed an emotional connection with someone, because she already had fulfilling relationships with her found family. She could've gone her entire life without falling in love but being surrounded by people she loves, and she'd still be fine. She is allosexual to her core, just as Gambit is.
Just some Deathbit 💜
one must imagine Jason Todd happy

One thing I noticed about my dislike of Romy is the way it presents Rogue vs the "other women" discourse.
Remy is written in the way that he sees women who aren't Rogue as unimportant and discardable. Rogue however, is the 'only woman who is special and doesn't get discarded'. Remy literally discards his childhood best friend for a girl he only knew for a week. Remy doesn't mourn the deaths of any of his love interests, but Rogue 'dies' and all of his life is over.
I just find this special treatment of Rogue, who doesn't even have anything meaningful with Remy, utterly rude and misogynistic. Especially if the other love interests are Black, they're not even mentioned again. It's really disturbing. Rogue is just like anyone else, what grants her this special treatment over other women?
Like Remy is a complete jerk to all of these women but worships Rogue? Who the hell is Rogue exactly that changed his life? Read the comics and there's nothing meaningful in that relationship apart from "loving someone despite not being able to fuck them" (which is also not handled well anyway) like these two have no meaningful bond but somehow Rogue "tames" a guy who is a total piece of crap to other women lmao when she can't handle shit, let alone be mature and grounded enough to make a man with a shitton of trauma and problems help reflect on his behaviour. Rogue is the opposite of that kinda woman, she cannot fix anyone she is the one who needs to be taken care of because of her own baggage.
This also tells the wrong message because it's the typical 'badboy treats others like dick except for his love interest' trope that we've been lately calling out. Like, no, if a man treats other people, especially other women like shit, he won't magically change upon dating with you.
had this gambit jumpscare yesterday and i need y'all to see it
