Who am I?

My name is Callie! I'm 16, my pronouns are she/her, and I'm from Castelia City, Unova! I'm Gym Leader Burgh's niece, he's really cool 😎

As you can probably tell from my username and layout, I love Stoutland :)

I have three little guys, but I'm not much of a battler. I prefer to just be friends with Pokemon! I have nothing against people who do battle, as long as they treat their Pokemon with respect and care.

Who are my Pokemon?

I have three little goobers who I love so so much!!

Anne is my Stoutland, she's level 37. As I said, I don't battle, but as a Lillipup Anne stole TM Rock Smash from my bag and went nuts. She used to be really aggressive around other normal types but she's getting better. She's super fluffy and often lets her sisters (my other mons) use her as a bed! I adopted her as a Lillipup from a shelter when I was 10.

Caroline is my Deerling, she's level 7. She's such a sweet little girl, she follows me everywhere. My school allows partner Pokémon, but Anne is too aggressive, so Caroline is my most common school partner. I found her as a baby in the wild without a mother. I visited and fed her in a patch of grass everyday for a week, but her mother never came, so I took her and we've been besties ever since!

Elise is my Murkrow, she's level 18. I met her in the wild and she became very attached to me. She followed me home so I offered her a Pokeball and she went right in! I think she was an underling for a Honchkrow who treated her badly. She gained a couple levels over the past few months dealing with a nasty Venipede infestation.

Who do I dislike? (DNI)

Team Plasma DNI. I agree that some aspects of Pokemon training are inhumane, but your methods are over the top and cause more harm than good. Also, you're hypocrites! You all have Pokemon!

Also, shiny breeders DNI. It's extremely harmful to the environment to hatch and release hundreds of Pokemon just to breed a single shiny. It's also really mean, you're bringing new Pokemon into existence just to abandon them :(

I will add that I have a pretty bad phobia of bug types. I've had multiple traumatic experiences with them. I don't mind interacting with bug type trainers, but I have no love for that type. It's ironic, considering my uncle...

I am not in general opposed to the idea of catching wild Pokémon, but I really do feel like we as a society ought to talk more about how stressful it can be for them to be brought into buildings or urban areas for the first time, and what trainers can do to make the transition easier for them.

This shouldn't be controversial. It's a fact that many wild-caught Pokemon have difficulties adjusting to their new lifestyle. We should talk about how we can make the transition easier for the sake of our beloved partners!

I'll start by saying that we should give them time to adjust to human presence- so many trainers try to bond with their buddy before they're ready.

Question for avian-mon owners!

Can avian Pokemon have music opinions? My Murkrow absolutely adores the Ribombeatles. Whenever I play their songs, she gets super excited and tries (badly) to sing along. She doesn't do this for any other band/artist. Is she fangirling??

I think I heard of your team's name from a brochure in a unovan airport, so as a kantonian who has no clue about unovan stuff, what did team plasma do while they were active?

first of all, not my team anymore haha.

second of all, Team Plasma is a cult advertising itself as an organization against Pokemon mistreatment and abuse. they even have a whole acronym about it! PKMN M/O/A, which stands for Mistreatment, Ownership and Abuse.

they claim that ALL POKEMON TRAINERS = BAD!!! because TRAINING POKEMON = ABUSING POKEMON11!1!!1!!1!1!! and that we need to LIBERATE ALL POKEMON IMMEDIATELY!!!!!11!1!1 and it's really crazy!

they also have their own monarchy in there with a King, whos like a deity even though he's a regular guy, 2 princesses, his sisters, the healers, and in my universe also a prince. 😆 as well as 7 sages, with one of them being the leader (not to be confused with the King). 😁

they target young people in bad mindsets and give them a place to stay, food, clothes and companionship but cut them off from the outside world and refuse to let them think from themselves hahaha 😁😁😁😁. I was there since 13.

theyre still active here, although in most universes they're not anymore, and have something to do with almost freezing all of Unova 😆 stay away please 😢😢😢. stay safe 💙

Plasma is also dangerous to regular people! Grunts have been known to target random trainers and harass them, and even steal their Pokemon! Do not engage with them!!!!

what’s raising a deerling like? i’ve always loved their spring forms, so i’m curious!!

(wouldn’t have kept it as my main partner is an arcanine, but i’d love to know still ^_^)

Pretty easy, tbh! They do photosynthesis so they don't require food, though I do give her the ocassional pokepuff when she's being really good. On cloudy days, I have these supplements for photosynthesizing grass types and those work fine.

Caroline specifically was abandoned as a baby, or orphaned, I'm not sure which. Because I was the person who raised her, she sees me as a mother figure, so she obeys me and is very affectionate to me. However, most Deerling do have a naughty streak. They like headbutting and jumping on furniture. You may need to do some baby proofing.

The main complaint I see about Deerling is that their behavior shifts with the seasons... which is hormonal so spay and neuter your damn Pokémon!!!

In general, Deerling are small, affectionate, and slightly mischievous. Usually easy to care for, fairly friendly with other Pokémon, and if you spay/neuter they won't have serious behavioral issues.
