People are already ready to take their pitchforks out against Eliot Laurence for saying that Raelle and Scylla will be important to each other regardless of wether they will rekindle their romantic relationship or wether it’ll be as friends.
And the fandom needs to TAKE A BREATH before accusing him for baiting.
1) No producer would spoil directly the course of their ships. And storytteling-wise Raelle and Scylla definitely need to rebuil their trust (which one may consider a sort of friendship) before moving on as romantic partners again.
2) Eliot Laurence is a gay man who created a show with
-90% female characters
-female friendships and complicated dynamics that are not tainted by boy-drama
-POC characters who aren’t treated like shit
-a main wlw romance that was front and centre throughout the season (not to mention that he gave us hope for them reuniting while most TV writers tend to use such storylines to justify breaking up the ship).
So let’s not hate on the guy for something he may do but hasn’t done so far (and chances are he never will).

Eliot Laurence is a gay man who created a very recent show (Claws) where a butch gay woman cheated on her fiancée with a man, got pregnant with his kid and said fiancée was murdered shortly after. That’s all harmful tropes in one. Stop making excuses for shit showrunners because they happen to be a part of the community.
