Ben wiped his hands free of crumbs as he thought over the options she had provided. "I think a movie night sounds perfect. I can already think of a couple that we might enjoy." Of course, Audrey would have the final say but he preferred it that way. He was just happy to be spending time with her knowing she enjoyed his company just as much. "I may have to ask for a treat to go. I should have popcorn at my place if we choose to watch a movie but no sweets. I might be taking advantage of my day off to indulge in more snacks," he admitted with a chuckle.
"Can't wait to see the choices then," she grinned, hopeful that she'd end up enjoying them. She had faith he knew what she liked but that he'd hopefully end up liking his own choices as well. As for him wanting to bring a treat to go she nodded. "Oh that sounds like a great idea. We should both do that. Maybe we can take some of the extra samples they gave us, unless you had a specific treat in mind?" Audrey's brows rose.
closed starter for @strangersxxworld (craig manning & emily junk) / "you wanna get under here?" craig called out as he waved his arm in the air to get the person's attention. "it's pouring like crazy!" he offered, gesturing his open umbrella towards her as the torrential downpour of rain around them swelled.
"oh god, thank you," she quickened pace as she huddled under his umbrella. thank goodness it was large enough for the both of them, but she hated she hadn't prepared for this herself. "yeah, i left my umbrella at home unfortunately. so thank you again," she paused. "so my name is, uh, emily by the way."
Laenor would tell her everything that she wanted to know, there was so much to say, so much that he wanted to explain to her but Laenor also didn't want to overwhelm her with everything. "We have all made our way here, and to each other. I would think that the same will happen with father." He smiled at her, nodding his head slightly. "Oh life her has been alright, I cannot complain. There are no titles, no conflicts and I get to be myself, for the first time in my entire life." A sigh escaped his lips. "I work as a teacher here."
She knew as much as she could know from her conversation with her granddaughter Baela. It had been a hard thing to digest, but life was difficult to live in back in Westeros. After all, her own father was unalived in a tragedy and many of her Targaryen cousins/ancestors had tough lives. However, she had asked Laenor about his life. She wanted to believe his life had been better in this city than back in Westeros. "Do you enjoy doing that? Has it been fulfilling for you?"
Cora gave the woman a smile as she walked and sat down at the bar. After long days she liked to unwind in relatively empty bars such as this one. She spent a moment contemplating her drink order. "A glass of red wine. Whichever you recommend."
"You got it," she turned around and shuffled to her right a little bit. Once her eyes fell on the red wines she grabbed the first bottle she could reach and then a glass. Robin gently set the glass down before she unscrewed the cork out of the bottle. Once the bottle was ready to pour she grabbed the glass again. Then once it was filled halfway she set the glass down in front of the other. "A nice moscato. Enjoy."
"hi hyacinth," jester gave a little wave and put out her hand to shake, "so, are you from around here? as you can tell, i'm obviously not." she loved telling people about her home, especially since it was so different from this place. maybe she'd even take the other to the lavish chateau, since that was here too.
she smiled a bit before shrugging her shoulders. "i don't remember ever being anywhere else, but yes. it's always nice to meet people not from here though," she paused, still smiling. "it's like getting a fresh perspective since i haven't been anywhere but here. i also just like hearing about other's experiences, when they're okay with telling them that is."
rosamund smiled a little at the (possibly) unintended compliment. "it's definitely a unique hobby, i suppose." she shrugged, "i'm no hunter, so i'm not sure where i can use this talent, but it's nice to know i can do it i guess. it's a good conversation starter."
"some people do it just for fun i think, but that's just me remembering the couple of archery clubs i've seen in the past," she admitted. it was a proper sport in her eyes, one recognized by the olympics too. those were always cool to watch with her family. "i'm sure there's a club around here, at least with how big this city is anyways."
"Yes, I'm fine," Alice answered, giving the other a smile. The near-collision had only startled her a little — no harm done really. "It wasn't your fault. I should have been watching where I was going," she admitted. "I'm Alice."
Robin kept the candy apple at her side, to avoid another potential sticky situation between the two of them. "I still feel bad, but if you're sure," she nodded. "Nice to meet you, Alice, My name is Robin."

"let me guess, you still don't remember me." there was an attitude that surrounded lexi as she let out a huff. she was just frustrated. all she had wanted was to have stefan here, to have her best friend to share her wins and loses with in this city. when she finally gets what she has been wanting? of course this city had be cruel and make it so he didn't know her. it was a deep heartbreak. "i'd like you to know i'm still offended."
He hadn't expected to run into the other person again, but it made him feel bad. Perhaps they were right and they did know each other. Perhaps they did actually have this close friendship and that could explain why he felt such pangs of guilt for not knowing them. "I'm sorry. I still don't know, but I'm not sure how to change that either. But I think I can remember this happening to other people. I didn't think it had happened to me until I met you the other day."
"Woah, that's awesome. Congratulations" Robin complimented the other with a small smile and clapping his hands a bit, his own bow on his shoulders. "I see a lot of people likes arrow and bow here" he added. "I'm Robin, nice to meet you".
"Thanks," her voice a little high from the excitement as she turned to face the other. She didn't expect praise, but getting it was always a nice feeling. Once the other introduced themself to her though her brows rose, laughing a little. "What a coincidence, my name is Robin too."
"ah but if you run out of arrows mid combat you can't just stop and make more." Gojo suggested. "Excuse me opponent while I sit here and string together arrows." He grinned at her for a moment. He was a mischievous individual. Enjoyed winding people up at times.
"combat? oh, no. i don't have this hobby and skill for combat," she laughed a little. at least she believed that, but perhaps in another life it might be true. "i just did it competitively for a while and now i teach it to the next generation. but sometimes it's nice to practice in the woods once in a while."
Yennefer hadn't seen this sort of mesmerisation with the moon. It was beautiful, Yennefer could appreciate that. "Really? You look like one. Though I suppose looks can be deceiving." A little chuckle left her. "Might I ask as to what you are? Don't worry I'm not all human either."
Hearing that the other may not be human either certainly made it a bit easier to admit what she was to them. "Yeah, that's certainly what I'd hope," she referred to them saying she looked human. "But, I'm actually a mermaid. Born and raised in the ocean, far away from here too."
" is it magic?" at most it sounded like wanda's powers, not that bucky had interacted with wanda outside of the airport skirmish and his subsequent endeavor back into cryo. he knew enough, though.
"i'm not sure, but i'd assume no. it just doesn't feel like that," she sighed. she wasn't doing any kind of spells and she couldn't manipulate other people with her powers either. "it feels like it's always been a part of me and yet i only discovered it a couple years ago."
❝ right. i understand, i think ❞ he wasn't certain. was he ever? nah, not often. jake tried taking in what she says. understood half of it ❝ you can't schedule an appointment every day? is it because they are busy talking with others? ❞ he isn't sure it is wise for him to talk to someone, with a stranger ❝ thanks, i guess. i think i will need to say no. i can't talk emotions, do not like to feel them ❞
"they're usually very busy and have to see a variety of other people too. i think some therapists do fully online stuff through apps, but i've always gone in-person," she shrugged. this was another thing she wouldn't force on jake or anyone else for that matter. therapy wasn't easy to handle and there were other ways to cope with things going on too. "that's fine, but i would still maybe consider the journals then. you can write it down in a physical journal or type them out on a personal computer."

"grandmother!" baela called out with a wide smile on her face. it was still strange to see her grandmother so much younger and well---alive, but she was still enjoying the fact they were together. "i could not get ahold of you. i was wondering if you wished to get lunch? i feel our last meet up as less than pleasant given the circumstances."
rhaenys looked up at the sound of the familar voice paired with that specific title. despite how their last conversation went she had appreciated the honesty. she was sad to not have seen her live beyond that moment, but happy to see her grown up now. "lunch sounds great, and there are certainly some good things to discuss," she smiled.

"emma, hey!" aria called out to her friend, a wide smile on her face. "i was just about to grab some coffee, did you want to join me?" honestly she could use the company anyways. it would be just enough to distract her from work.
emma had been glancing at the calendar app on her phone when she heard her name being called. she glanced up and smiled immediately at the sight of aria. "coffee sounds great actually," she nodded as she put away her phone into her pocket.
That was something that Eloise would never understand, being from such a large family. It had always been nearly impossible to spend any time alone. "None of them quite get what it was like living in that time, but they're close enough. Not that horrid one from Netflix the other year... I like to try to forget that exists. But I don't think you can really go wrong with any of the adaptations for Pride and Prejudice or Sense and Sensibility."
"you know, i just thought about this. but perhaps we should try and schedule a time to watch some of these movies. it would be nice to watch them in the company of somebody who could appreciate them," she smiled. maeve also hoped that with someone like eloise they could have a good conversation about the movies afterwards too.
