I’m gonna try to organize some of my thoughts of things that could be potential parallels or just overall theory’s

Radios

Before the show even started this picture was on the screen (it’ll be on the bottom) every once in a while bob would say a little message like a shoutout etc. But what I found the most interesting was him playing music, it reminded me of Rockin’ Robin who is going to be the host for the WSQK. The song ‘Rockin’ Robin’ was released in 1958 and the play is set in 1959. The radio was a very important in the scene where Patty Newby uses it to broadcast a coded message to find where Henry was, I believe Robin or some other character will use a similar method to find whoever they are looking for this season. The radio is also very important for Henry’s character— it being where he first learns to use his powers and his most used prop and obsession.

Emphasized words or concepts

More times than I can count the word dream and nightmare is used in this play. I believe it might have something to do with either the nightmarish place people go when vecna is trying to kill them or the dream like scenes we are starting to see in the teasers.

When Patty and Henry are in the play together the cast/ Joyce calls their kiss “The kiss of death” later that exact phrasing shows up on the set of their school play written on the walls. I’ll get more into that later.

A strong theme in the school play Joyce wrote is “Love defeats fear”.

The shadow monster or “it” as referred to by Henry tell Henry peoples darkest secrets, reminds me of the synopsis of this upcoming season…

Multiple times birthdays are mentioned: firstly in a throw away joke Dr. Brennen’s dad says his son hates his birthday. Later Henry’s 8th birthday is mentioned 2-3 times because that was one of the key points in him showing himself being different.

Parallels

I have heard many times how Patty is paralleled to Mike by wearing his colours and swing themselves as different. And Henry obviously being compared to Will, the colour coating, the same mannerisms when he is possessed, having the mindflayer fly out of his mouth, be seen as a freak and weirdo the list could go on. This is why I think if the characters are meant to parallel eachother then the Kiss of death might be quite telling.

When Hopper and Joyce are fighting about liking eachother Hopper calls Joyce Crazy.

When Henry meets Patty’s mom in his visions/dreams she has one eye lit up, potentially symbolizing the eye of vecna?

Lastly this might be the biggest stretch when Patty survives Henry’s attack she is no longer able to walk like she used to (using a cane now) and she reunited with her mother (what Max thought she would never do.)

My first time trying to write any form of fanfiction. (This is definitely not a self insert)

Mike’s New Look

Mike hadn’t even fully thought through what he was actually doing on a Sunday night until he felt the razor nick the bottom of his eyebrow. He used to be scared of what his dad would say about his “new and different looks,” but now it had gotten to a point where he couldn’t care less. So that’s how he decided to end his weekend with himself trying to make an eyebrow slit. After the first slit, he realized how minimal it was and wanted another one, so that’s what he did; the second time, he decided to make it closer towards the middle of his eyebrow, a little thicker, and more noticeable. Once he washed his face and really looked, he was proud of the work he did, nowhere close to Will’s precision in his paintings but good enough for Mike.The next morning he mostly forgot it was there, only remembering when he’d see his reflection on the car windows he’d walk by on his way to school. ‘Mike!’ A familiar voice that he could recognize from anywhere called out. ‘Will!’ He called back. “How’s it going?” Mike’s smile only faded when he saw Will’s own smile falter, eyes flicking from one eyebrow to another. Not missing a beat, Will started beaming again. ‘I like what you did with the eyebrow; it’s nice and suits you.’ Mike was sure he was probably beet red and had a stomach full of butterflies, but all he could think about was how good it felt to be complimented by Will.

Probably never going to write fanfiction again but rlly wanted to write something like this.
