because what is the truth that is so awful?

It's been a year now and that question PLAGUES me

is it that she fell in love with death and had a child with them? i don't think that's it. it's no secret to anybody that she had a child and she doesn't seem particularly ashamed of having loved death.

hell, according to jac, they were married. she loved rio that much that she straight up married her. and also had her child.

is it that she couldn't protect her own son??? who could have? he died. people die. boys die. especially in the time they were living.

or is it because she took this song, this beautiful little melody that they wrote together, and used it to kill more witches? because she knew he didn't like that?? how much worse would people think of her knowing that? i'm sure she doesn't care what people would think of her actually

but what might they think of nicky if they knew he wrote the original song? would they believe that it was just a fun little ditty that he made up with his mama to pass the time? or would they think him a con artist as well? he was, after all, the spawn of agatha harkness. how could he be any good when she is so evil? she kills witches you know!

agatha doesn't give half a shit what anybody thinks of her, but she would rather be seen as an agent of mephisto, as pure irredeemable evil, than to let anybody think even a fraction of that about her son, who was too good and sweet for this world despite his parentage.

I keep thinking about Alice's family and their curse... A lineage of protection witches,,,sure their curse is real but what if they all died protecting people? Alice who beat the curse but still died protecting Agatha, Jen, Lilia, Billy, and Rio. Lorna who died in a hotel fire, how many people did she save before finally collapsing herself? Lorna said she felt her mother die, was she protecting people? I love that family, so tragic, I love protectors.
