"Yeah. Her exact words," Majdalā confirms, nodding along with his words, "an' laughed her lil' hind end off when I fell, too." It was a fond memory, though, the kind thatmade her smile. Even if she was a little sad by that memory, of what she remembered of her Granny, it made her happy, too.
But she knows he's right, and she says as much as she siddles up to the horse and gives the mare another scratch before she moves out of the way. Once she was mounted up, it'd be easier to get to know her.
"That they do. Never owned any, couldn't 'cause we hadn't got th' room, but it was alwaya a treat tah go an' ride with my Granny's friend."
That definitely was not a bad idea, to get experience using different kinds of saddles. Bullseye was sure there were plenty of people who could ride both Western and English saddles, and he definitely would take his hat off to them. He chuckled at her reminiscence. "Yeah, my pa acted th' same when he was teachin' me t' ride. They jus' were hopin' for us t' broaden our horizons, I know."
Not having enough room for a horse was a hard thing, so that was nice that she had had somewhere to go and ride. "Glad you got th' chance t' do it. I think everyone should get th' chance t' ride at least once."
He finished saddling up the horse and gave everything a once over before saying, "Alrigh', Penelope's all set t' go, so feel free t' head on out whenever you want."

"Hopin' an' prayin', but it didn't quite get there," she agrees, grinning still, and sshakes her head. The reminiscing was a good thing; it no longer felt sad to talk about her Granny. She wasn't gone but it...sometimes felt like it.
At his comment about riding she nods, and then thanks him, patting the mare on the side of her neck while she shifted underneath her. It was clear the horse wanted to be off, and Maj was right alongside her.
"Be seein' yah in a bit," she agrees, waving him off before clicking her tongue and gently setting her heels to Penelope’s flanks.
