The Seven Deadly Sinners track list in order
Information provided by @patricideapologist backed by the official Book Duo set
Note: Similar to the Extended edition of the Donner Party Album each song seems to be preceded by narration / background information, I’ll mark which ones I believe to be Narration the rest are songs
An American Murder Song
I. That Low Down Lust (Narration)
Bathsheba Spooner (Lust)
II. That Old-Rascal Pride (Narration)
John Wilkes Booth (Pride)
III. That Good-for-Nothin’ Sloth (Narration)
Robert Ford (Sloth)
IV. That Hell-Fire Envy (Narration)
Emma Williams (Envy)
V. That Rip-Roarin’ Wrath (Narration)
Lizzie Borden (Wrath)
VI. That Big-Bad Gluttony (Narration)
H. H. Holmes
VII. That Dirty-Dog Greed (Narration)
Little Pete (Greed)
VIII. Abandon All Virtue (Narration)
An American Murder Song (Another Round)
Here's some info on the new sinners. Some of these are common enough names that I could be wrong, but these are my best guesses. Bathsheba Spooner - First American woman executed after the Declaration of Independence was signed, hence why she's the first sinner on the tracklist. She killed her husband after being impregnated by her lover, hence why she's Lust. Robert Ford - Outlaw who killed Jesse James. Seen as a traitorous coward for this, as he'd been a member of James' Gang. Perhaps this is why he's Sloth?
Emma Williams - Pretty common name, my best guess is Emma LeDoux. She was arrested after murdering her third husband and stuffing his body in a trunk. She was also suspected in the suspicious death of her first husband, William Williams, which may be why that surname is used for her here. She collected a large life insurance policy on Williams, perhaps that's tied to why she's Envy?
Little Pete - Pretty sure he's Féng "Little Pete" Zhèngchū, a gang leader in 1890s San Francisco. Not that big of a stretch to make a gang leader Greed.
I can confirm all of them are true except Emma Williams https://outhistory.org/exhibits/show/mitchell/emmawilliams
Emma Williams Murders Eleanor Richardson, Mobile, AL, February 24, 1892 · Alice Mitchell Murders Freda Ward in Memphis, 1892 · OutHistory
It’s to note that Envy is the only one with multiple murderers Emma Williamson just being the main one (you’ll see once I post the narration and lyrics)
also made a presentation for my friends recently
we need more non white writers in doctor who because realistically if the master regenerated into what humans perceive as an indian british man his instinct would not be to join the nazis, it would be to troll the hell out of everyone. the master would be like "ugh. unit is always racially profiling me" and the doctor would be like "you literally tried to set london on fire" and the master would be like "wow, doctor, racist much? just assuming i'm a criminal because i'm a brown man?" and the doctor would be like "three hundred years ago you tried to blow up the taj mahal" and the master would be like "what can i say? it was in the way"
Gonna put my theory out there early that every sin in the seven deadly sinners album will feature a fairytale/nursery rhyme and that’s a bold claim to make when we only have two songs but Jack and the Beanstalk is H.H Holmes and Lizzie Borden just straight up has her rhyme in it
Im also going to make a bold claim and say Greed will be Olivier Winchester
I need to do more research but I don’t think I’m fully correct with the rhyme theory because it seems like only 4/9 songs have rhymes in them though perhaps when they release it will be more obvious with like melodies
The ones I recognize without looking anything up are
Hush little baby
Oh a-hunting we will go
Lizzie Borden took an axe
Then Jack and the beanstalk
The mark of Cain seems to be able to be used for strength seen in the wind weeps Eleanor and John Wilkes Booth or as a punishment for murder seen in Murder! murder! or The Cry of the Banished Horseman it seems like if it’s a punishment it forms as a scar or wound on the wrist of the murderer if it’s done as a ritual it can be in any form
Was March me correct actually????? I like completely deleted this theory because it seemed kinda bullshit but the pride song kinda adds onto it?
The version history on my doc cut out here but the rest of the sentence about pray was “taking account of the way it says ‘keep our sins beneath the shed’ asking to be absolved of guilt for killing someone’s” or something like that
