Over here at Studio 416 we hope that your Thursday is going as nice as ours, and if it isn’t, we’re sending good vibes your way via this Phoebe Ryan song ‘Mine’, which is keeping us in a feel good mood.
We’ve been away for a while, running through the six and what not, but we’re back and thought we’d share this new Toronto inspired song by Cory Jreamz, Drunk in Toronto
A new collaboration between Bleachers and Grimes called “Entropy” has surfaced, and it’s catchy and light enough to keep your spirits high all week.
Have you been not-so-patiently waiting for the Bonnaroo line-up to be announced? Well, Bonnaroo is doing things a little differently this year. Instead of Bonnaroo releasing the line-up online, on Tuesday, the 13th of January, there will be the Bonnaroo Lineup Announcement Megathon, or "BLAM", from 6 pm - 9 pm EST. This event involves the festival's fans and attendees to call a phone number (1-844-ROO-2015) to find out the line-up and then announce it themselves over social media using the #bonnaroo hashtag. The Manchester, Tennessee festival takes place on the 11th-14th of June and tickets will go on sale on the 17th of January.
Have you ever wanted to watch Shia LaBeouf and that girl Maddie from Dance Moms dance fight (not dance battle) in a giant cage while wearing nude body suits? Neither have we!
Technically, we didn't really know that was an option, or had the idea cross our minds even once, but thankfully Sia obviously had been thinking about it enough to make it her new music video for her song Elastic Heart. So check it out and let us know what you think.
Sound the fan-girl alarm, One Direction's latest music video for "Night Changes" was released on VEVO this morning. Check it out and experience every single one of your 1D fantasy dates come true, 4-minute montage style.

In case you missed it, either due to your poor timing or the fact that you don’t live in the UK, the Band Aid 30 video for “Do They Know It’s Christmas” has been released.
It’s basically what you were expecting of the 30th anniversary of Band Aid in that it’s essentially the same video but in better quality and with an updated list of participants, except for you Bono, you go Bono. Not only does it support a great cause (raising money towards the Ebola crisis in Western Africa) but it also features *big breath* … Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, One Direction, Jessie Ware, Ellie Goulding, Olly Murs, Rita Ora, Chris Martin (from Coldplay), Marcus Mumford (from Mumford and Sons), Bono, Sinead O’Connor, Bastille, Paloma Faith, Emile Sande, Seal, Clean Bandit, Angelique Kidjo, Elbow, Robert Plant, Underworld, and Nick Grimshaw, as well as YouTube favourites Zoe Sugg, Alfie Deyes, and Joe Sugg.
So sit back, enjoy this video of your favourite Brits singing in the studio for a good cause that some kind Bono fan posted for the world, and then buy the single because, we repeat, it’s for a good cause.
Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" music video is officially out on Vevo a day early. Check it out and watch Taylor go from a daydream to a nightmare as her her self-proclaimed next mistake goes "down in flames." Also, watch for a cameo by Taylor's cat Meredith. Oh ya, and then there's Sean O'Pry.
We'll just leave this here.
Sidenote: Where can I get a stylist that will dress me like a daydream? Because usually I just feel like a nightmare dressed like a hot mess.
Bob Dylan has officially announced the release of his 2015 cover album Shadows In The Night. After posting online a cover of Sinatra's "Full Moon and Empty Arms" (here) earlier this year, the official news of this album's release has been long awaited.
In the meantime though, you can catch Dylan on his North American tour at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts in TO on November 17th and 18th. Tickets available here.
If there's one thing that can be said about the career of Taylor Swift, its that the girl knows how to surprise. Whether its transforming stadiums into confetti winter wonderlands, or welcoming the most-dedicated of fans into her post-show hangout spaces, Swift's got a clear love for the extraordinary and unexpected. And, with the October 27th release of her newest album 1989, the songstress has offered up to fans and critics alike her latest, and in many opinions greatest, surprise thus far.
With Red's release in 2012, Swift proved to fans that she was not afraid of transformation and straying from her Nashville heritage, but with the arrival of 1989 Swift proves she is not in the slightest afraid of shaking off (pun intended) these country roots entirely. Through the use of synth-pop tracks, 808 claps and echoing vocals, Taylor, in an attempt to create an 80's period piece, does something remarkable, creating a perfect hybrid between 80's pop anthems and the contemporary pop ballads that dominate radio today.
It's been clear that Ms. Swift has had a welcome place in the pop industry for years, but just like everything Swift has produced so far in her career, she has taken the time to meticulously study, calculate and craft an array of songs that both blend together and stand alone as singles with equal strength. Drawing from Lana Del Rey-esque vocals in "Wildest Dreams" or gal pal Lorde's soft electro-pop influence in "Blank Space", Swift has clearly taken the time to understand what makes pop music work, and made it her own.
However, where previous albums have relied heavily on Swift's songwriting prowess, 1989 marks the first of Taylor's albums to downplay some of these lyrics and let the music dominate the track. This, though, is not to the detriment of the album. Instead, the blend of classic Swift lyrics and pop melodies help to take Swift from her status as a songwriter and really and truly mark her for perhaps the first time, as an all-around musical artist. Not only does this mark a newfound maturity in Swift's music but it might also be the first significant mark of the beginnings of a new age for pop music as a whole.
With her contemporary blending of old and new pop music, Swift seemingly returns pop music to its roots. The powerful lyrics she has built her legacy on, coupled with classic pop melodies, show that Swift might be the exact change the industry needs. A little less auto-tune, a little more subtlety, a touch less bass drops reminiscent of today's rave culture, and a whole lot more substance; 1989 speaks now, for a much needed transformation in the pop industry.
It's hard to believe this newfound pop star originated from the twangy "Teardrops On My Guitar" singer that stepped on the scene in 2006, or perhaps not. With her love for reinvention, Swift has at once been a predictable and wildly unpredictable presence in the music industry for years.
Welcome to New York and welcome to new Taylor. But don't get too comfortable, because if there's one thing clear, its that she's going to do nothing less than keep you on your toes in the time ahead.
Putting the "Rad" in Radcliffe last night, everybody's favourite Boy Who Lived proved once again that he is not the ordinary muggle people once thought.
While promoting his new film "Horns" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Daniel Radcliffe was challenged by Fallon to perform Blackalicious' "Alphabet Aerobics" and NAILED IT
It's the weekend, it's the weekend

Great music, and Priory's song Weekend has been stuck in our heads for a while now, so here's the video for all to enjoy.
Know what Ed Sheeran did? He went ahead and released one of the cutest music videos he has ever released AND inspired men everywhere to go learn how to dance as well as him (hopefully)
Here's the video for Thinking Out Loud, enjoy.
