Hello Everyone! I emerge from the shadows to tell you a very important thing that is about to happen in Europe and it’s gonna affect all our fellow European artists (me included).
A new copyright law just got approved in the Europian parliament and it’s not good. Social media platforms might be shut down in Europe and all the content that I have provided in years might be erased from the web.
Basically (as I understood so I really hope I’m mistaken), the law states that all artists will have to pay a fee to put the copyright on each and every one of their drawings (if posted online), made by their own hands, even the simplest sketches, or else the art will be considered a violation of copyright and put down.
Fan-arts won’t be allowed anymore unless the copyright owner of such characters/series states publicly that we are allowed to produce fan arts of them.
The law got approved one week ago and I’m really scared at the moment.
As I said, I might lose everything I’ve been working for in the past years.
