What’s in my backpack!
image one: my school bag. It’s a shoulder bag, not a backpack, just because that’s what suits me best. It has lots of nice little pockets for pens and pencils, my wallet and the suck
image two: all my notebooks. I’m taking five classes this semester, so one pile for each. In clockwise order: calculus, astronomy, physics, English and history. I use five-subject notebooks for the first three, since they involve a lot of writing, and one subject notebooks for the other two.
image three: My laptop, planner and pens and pencils. I tend not to carry a whole lot around with me, so I color code my notes in the evening when I get back to my dorm.Â

THEME 1: WHAT’S IN YOUR BACKPACK?
That’s right guys, the first theme for the New and Improved Study Garden is What’s in your backpack! Since we are all starting school, I think this would be a great way to show everybody your new aesthetics for the school year, and what you bring with you to school on a regular basis.

A Reintroduction
Hi there, it’s Nathan from study-hard-and-prosper. So unfortunately our original Admin Annie (@studypea) found that this blog was going to become too much work for her to upkeep and asked for new admins to take the blog over. This resulted in there being two new admins, myself and scholasctic. We talked together about what we wanted the blog to become, and we have a pretty good idea where we are going to go (It should be polished within the next day or two, we’ve only had access to all the blogs information for a day and other important documents for a night, so you can understand the plan not being perfect yet). We really want to have the Study Garden become a “Slice-of-Studyblr”, where new people who don’t know about studyblr can go and see a pretty good idea as to what we are about. We want this to feel more like a network rather than someone’s personal studyblr. A major part of this is going to be by bringing a variety of people to the blog and when we do themes, have a variety of responses. In order to achieve this we will be doing either bi-weekly or monthly themes (This is not entirely decided yet but should be in the next few days), Studyblr of the Month Awards, and more. We are really excited to see how far we can go with this group and how we can present studyblr in a fun and unique way.
FOR MEMBERS OF STUDY GARDEN: I will be messaging you all individually to make sure that all the members are still active and wish to participate still. I also will be asking each of you what your preferred way of messaging the group will be, so that we can all let you guys know when new themes are up and ready to be posted.
As of right now we are going to keep applications CLOSED until we have the website fixed and the blog started and running.Â
Until then we will begin to post again on September 1st with new themes and the first official Studyblr of the Month voting.Â
I’m so excited to see where we can go with this blog!
-NathanÂ

My personal blog is slythirin and my studyblr is scholasctic

Hi Friends!
A Few Things About Me:
My name is Nicole, !'m 16 and I'm from Canada.
I will be starting my senior year in the Fall. Woot woot grad class of 2016 hahaha.. :'(
I am a dancer. I study ballet, irish and contemporary. Starting in September I will be doing 11 and a half hours a week! I'm so excited!!
I am an artist (I’m going to be taking 4 art based classes next year for the second year in a row!!)
Study habits/techniques:
My first draft of notes are so incredibly messy. Depending on what the subject is it will be in either pencil or pen (usually mostly pencil).
Everything gets written down. Everything. Well not everything but most of the points that the teacher makes during the class.
If my notes are too messy/were about a topic that was difficult for me to understand, I will rewrite them either on loose leaf paper or in a notebook specifically for the given subject.
I use the pomodoro technique religiously.
Favourite Products:
Pigma Micron Archival Ink; my favourite sizes are 01, 03, 08
PaperMate Ink Joy 100 1.0M in Blue; they dont smudge which is really important for a lefty
USB Keys; during the school year I always have at least 2 with me at all time sometimes I also have a hard drive
Dixon Pink Pearl 101 eraser
Classes I will be taking next semester (hopefully, my high school is awful at making schedule.. (side note: last year they got mine completely wrong, twice):

Hey guys!
My name is Jaz and I’m from Hawaii. I hope to meet others and get to know each other a lot better. I have always loved stationary products and school gave me an opportunity to express my passion for them. I especially love Asian stationary products and hope to one day go to Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. My love for Asian products is reflected on my school supplies haha.Â
Some things about me:
Majoring in Accounting and Financing (hopefully I can double major in Health Care Admin. later)
I am an upcoming Sophomore
I love Sanrio products
I LOVE learning about history
I love KPOP
I can’t remember a time that I was not obsessed with stationary
I love to read (I once read 130 books in a year)
I love cats and I have a cat named Lucy
I love the feeling of solving math problems (very therapeutic)
Study habits:
I must ALWAYS use a blue/black pen for general info (using different colors for everything doesn’t work for me)
I write everything (due dates, hw, etc) in my planner, write down my to-do list on a post it when I get home, and then re-arrange it in order of importance and difficulty
I handwrite most of notes Cornell notes style--it’s the only way that works for me. I like how easy it is to find your topic on the left side
For Powerpoints I type up the slides Cornell notes style and then go through my textbook and annotate my notes further
I ALWAYS carry a pencil caseÂ
Favorite Products
Pilot G2 0.5 mm
Pilot Hi-techpoint V5 RT 0.5 mm
Pentel Energel 0.5 mm

hey everyone!! my name is sierra (my tumblr is cutenotesandcupcakes) and i’m a fifteen year old girl who’s going to be in tenth grade this fall. for my sophomore year, i’ll be taking algebra 2, honors english: journalism, ap gov, minorities in american society, honors chemistry, french 3, and marketing. i’m actually really excited for my entire schedule, but i’m most excited for my minorities class because i think the subject matter and the discussions will be really interesting. plus, it’s like a mix of history and social justice (we talk about feminism, lgbt, race, people with disabilities, etc.) so that’s cool.
STUDY METHODS
i haven’t really experimented too much with different study methods tbh but i’m trying to do more this summer! so far, my favorite ways to study are by making flashcards, charts, and mind maps. i also like to do textbook outlines using colored pens & highlighters.

i’m a writer but i lack motivation (working on that)
i’m a visual/tactile learner and my #1 aesthetic is good handwriting tbh
if you have any music/tv recommendations, please let me know!! also, i can’t wait to meet you all and share/receive study tips!

ABOUT ME
Hi everyone, my name is Aliyah and I’ll be a senior this fall. I live on the East Coast in lovely state of Pennsylvania. I’m 16, turning 17 in the fall. I’ll be truthful -- I’m terrified for college. Specifically, the college application and admissions process. I plan on majoring in computer science with a minor in biomedical engineering. My dream schools are Princeton University, Cornell University, and New York University. I’m also Asian and from the wonderful island of the Philippines.
SCHOOL
My senior course load this year is AP Computer Science, AP US Government & Politics, AP Literature, AP Physics A, Honors Calculus, Symphonic Orchestra, Marching Band, Concert Band, my school’s newspaper, and C# Programming. I go to a non-magnet, large public school. Some of my favorite subjects are biology and English.
STUDY TECHNIQUES
I’m completely enthralled by the Pomodoro technique and I use it whenever I need to study or focus on homework, projects, and essays. I’m also a big fan of the bullet journal to update me on my study plans. I tend to usually make flashcards and study guides for studying.
