A spanyol emberek a legtöbb esetben nem félnek kimutatni az érzelmeiket (ami szerintem meglehetősen hatásos módszer a stressz és depresszió távol tartására) - a futballért pedig különösen rajonganak.
Jó példa volt erre az a csütörtök este, amikor a Sevilla FC játszott a Feyenoord ellen Európa Liga meccset. Szerencsére a stadion közelében lakom, úgyhogy kimentem megnézni, milyen ilyenkor a hangulat. Egész Sevilla felbolydult; rendőrök irányították a forgalmat az Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán közelében, az embertömeg pedig egyre csak duzzadt, én is sodródtam a vidám sereglettel. A stadion előtt megálltam, és hallgattam, ahogy bent zúgnak a szurkolók a hőn szeretett csapat tagjainak elkántálása közben.
Nagyon jó volt látni, hogy nem csak férfiak, hanem lelkes női szurkolók érkeznek kis robogójukkal, a csapat mezében a meccsre, retikülökből sálak kerülnek elő; a legkisebbektől a legidősebbekig, a családokon keresztül mindenki kilátogatott a mérkőzésre, aki csak tehette; aki pedig nem, az egy bárban a barátaival szurkolt ugyan olyan lelkesen.
Ez a szenvedély néha ugyan összetűzésekhez vezethet (a Betis és a Sevilla FC szurkolói között komoly ellentét feszül), de a legtöbb esetben jótékonyan erősíti az emberi kapcsolatokat.
Spanish people are not afraid to show their feelings (I guess this is a good way to keep away stress and depression) - and they adore football especially .
That Wednesday night was a great example for it when Sevilla FC played against Feyenoord in the European League. Fortunately I live near to the stadium so I went to watch what the milieu is like in those times. The whole city was going crazy; the police managed the traffic around the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán and the crowd was growing and growing. It was like floating with those cheerful people. Then I stood in the front of the stadium and was listening to the chanting fans.
I was so glad to see that not only men but many women arrived by their tiny motorbikes in Sevilla FC-jerseys and from the handbags scarves were appeared. From the youngest to the oldest persons, through the families, everyone came to the match who could; who couldn't those enjoyed it in a bar with their friends and supported their beloved team.
This passion causes problems sometimes (for example between the Betis and the Sevilla FC supporters) but in most of the cases it makes human relations better.
