So I sat the GAMSAT yesterday 💉 And today (after a substantial amount of sleep) I started my day by reading this wonderful novel. 

For those of you who haven’t read it, I’d 100% recommend! For anyone wondering, the flash cards are called Moore’s Clinical Anatomy Flash Cards ☀️☀️

Academia for Med Students

hand drawing anatomy notes with excruciating detail, having specific study rituals, dragging yourself out of bed for early lectures, constantly switching between specialties, getting very excited about your field once you do settle on one, learning more about pain and human nature than you thought you would, being at peace with death, feeling like you’ve found yourself when you put on scrubs and a stethoscope, knowing the harm of all your vices and trying to make them better, and knowing all the work and long hours will be worth it in the end.

16.10.17  The light was so cool this morning it was like everything was under this autumn-y orange glow. I think it was the storm which passed over.  Once again I spend the day in the Wills Memorial Library. I feel like today is going so slowly but at last I’m being really productive! I think I should try to keep 8am starts up, start studying by 9? Feeling very harry pottery today! xxxx emily
