I’m back!

So, it’s been three years since my last post, which was some time during the Covid lockdowns. Since then, I received my GCSE results (all 9s), studied for my a levels for two years, and received my results for them too (A* Law, A History, B English Literature, A* EPQ). I got into my dream university; in a month, I start my law degree at Oxford University! I thought I’d restart my studyblr for that, partly to motivate myself and partly to act as an archive for this lovely time.

Day 6/100 of productivity

Computing and networks today. I find it so amazing that in less than a century, we have explored a totally different world in the form of the internet. I mean, go back a few generations and no-one would have dreamed of studyblrs and social media. Progress is so quick, you blink and you miss it. So keep going with your own progress!

Spanish today, which was really interesting. I’ve got so so much respect for people who can speak more than one language because it’s so difficult! Hopefully by the end of this course I’ll be able to :)

Day 4/100 of productivity!

Some more biology today. It’s technically the half term, but without school all of the days seem to blur into endlessness. The schools are reopening for year 10 and 12 on the 15th of June, so I’ll be going back then. I’ve really missed seeing my friends, but I’m very nervous about contamination. But I’m trying to believe that there’s a light at the end of this tunnel, and the world will make it through this crisis. Just keep going!

Day 3/100 of productivity!

Working on my WIP a bit more today, I’m trying to plan out the beginning but writing is difficult! I wouldn’t do it if I didn’t love it, though. I go by the saying that “you can edit awful writing, but you can’t edit a blank page”. Just keep going!

History today, 1920s America. It’s weird to think that in about a year I’ll be taking an exam on this. Last night I accidentally read an entire book before I went to bed! 📚

I’m starting this challenge because I really want to get things done and to get ahead in my classes. Today, I’ve finished a chapter of my WIP and done a topic of Chemistry revision. I’m just about to do my workout too. I’m really excited :)

Taking the time in the lockdown to try and teach myself some psychology, it’s really interesting so far!

I’ve been in a pantomime all week and I had to take the day off school today or I would have collapsed, so decided to do some English to catch up! Shakespeare’s honestly not as bad as I thought 🖋📚📓

Studying for biology 🤗 I only got a 6 on my last test so I’ll get my grades up for the next one!

About me!!!

Hello, this is my first studyblr account, so I’m really sorry if I’m doing anything wrong. Right, let’s get to me.

I’m 14 (I’ll be 15 in 18 days) and I’m currently in year 10, so I’ve just started most of my GCSE courses. Some of them, like RE and history, I did a bit of in year 9. Towards the end of the summer, I started thinking that maybe I should be revising and studying a bit more. I did for about two weeks, but I fell out of the pattern, so I’m using this account as a way to get back into this. If anyone has any tips or help I’d be thrilled!

I’m absolutely an overachiever, and my target grades for this year are 8s and 9s. I’d better start working! On another note, to relax, I dance, bake, and run. I might make some posts about them too.

Facts about me

I’m probably one of the shortest in my year- I’m 5’3 in a sea of 6’1s. My school is very tall.

I’ve had braces since March, but I get them off (8/10/19) today! I’m really excited to be able to crunch things again, I’ve missed carrots and apples.

I have great posture and have a running total of how many things I can balance on my head at once. The record is 6.

I’m very very bad at hair and makeup. I can do a ponytail and maybe a base, but nothing not complicated. Normally at dance shows my mum helps, or one of the chaperones.

Once, one of the lights in our school set itself on fire. I was in the sports hall at the time, where the light was. It was the last day before the Christmas holidays, and the choir was in there for a sound check.

Also, I really enjoy musical things, like acting and singing. In year 8, I had one of the principal roles (the white rabbit in Alice in wonderland) and I enjoyed every second of it.

My Goals

Be more organised

Manage my time better

Spend less time on my phone

Eat healthy, no snacks.

Be friendlier to people in my year and make more friends. It’s head girl elections this year.

Finish my writing WIP.
