A few more illustrations for Orgabon! The penguins might just be my favorite of everything I’ve drawn for them.

HEY ARTISTS!
Do you design a lot of characters living in not-modern eras and you’re tired of combing through google for the perfect outfit references? Well I got good news for you kiddo, this website has you covered! Originally @modmad made a post about it, but her link stopped working and I managed to fix it, so here’s a new post. Basically, this is a costume rental website for plays and stage shows and what not, they have outfits for several different decades from medieval to the 1980s. LOOK AT THIS SELECTION:
OPEN ANY CATEGORY AND OH LORDY–
There’s a lot of really specific stuff in here, I design a lot of 1930s characters for my ask blog and with more chapters on the way for the game it belongs to I’m gonna be designing more, and this website is going to be an invaluable reference. I hope this can be useful to my other fellow artists as well! :)
Did you find this helpful? If you’re able, maybe buy me a coffee please? :D

Friendly reminder that there is no food even remotely close to the unhealthiness of an eating disorder.
Eat something today. Even if it’s just a bag of chips or a cookie, your body needs some kind of nutrients.

A new crocheted pouch I finished yesterday. This one is a bigger size than most of my other ones, so it can hold more stuff in it. I used a light, sort of lichen-coloured green and a darker sage green.
I crocheted a long rectangle shape with the darker green block in the middle, then folded it so the top egde and colours lined up and stitched the sides closed. The little pine tree was stitched on before sewing everything closed at the sides, though.
one of my pieces for @feteahouses project!
Its really crazy to me that we’ve gotten to the point where being photographed in public without consent is like acceptable
This is what I've started thinking every time I see a TikTok of a random stranger. We've seen what happens to people who go viral from their own posts-- why expose a stranger to that possibility just for existing? What if whoever's in there didn't want people to laugh at them? What if they don't want to be a meme? What if they just want to exist in real life, and not in someone else's framing on the Internet? Other people are not for public consumption.
This is beautiful
I was afraid of that too but now I realize that now I have motivation to create finally
HEY I WAS GONNA TALK ABOUT THIS THE OTHER DAY BUT HERE’S A GOOD CHANCE TO.
So okay, first things first — there are tons of different medications out there for a ton of reasons. They treat different imbalances. If you are taking something that makes you feel like a zombie, it’s not because meds are meant to sedate you. It means you are on the a) wrong dose or b) wrong med entirely.
There’s a reason 300mg of Wellbutrin works for OP, but a fraction of that made me effectively braindead. There’s a reason Adderall does the trick for me, but would fuck up someone else. Mental illness is jacked up because it’s 600 separate illnesses who all came to the same party in identical outfits. That’s why finding what’s right for you can take a lot of work.
Treatment is supposed to help you feel like a human being. If the treatment is making you feel less than yourself, it’s the wrong one. Same goes for any doctor insisting you stay on meds that tank your quality of life.
Point the second — the idea that mental illness and creativity go hand-in-hand is a dangerous fallacy that started with romanticized stories of tragic artists. It is true that the coping mechanisms and emotional outpouring that come with mental illness can influence our creativity. But it does not cause creativity.
This mentality is damaging in the other direction, too. I knew a girl with bipolar disorder who was, by her own admission, not a creative person. She would write for fun, but she did not have any strong creative pursuits, and she didn’t feel especially fueled to do so. She said once that she was embarrassed because she “can’t even be mentally ill right.”
It goes both ways. Not only is there an expectation that you will lose your creativity if you look after your mental health, there is a similar belief that mentally ill people are automatically creative geniuses. When in point of fact, we’re probably just more likely to pursue creativity as a form of escapism and venting.
Your mental illness is not the wellspring from which your creativity flows, and anyone who tries to convince you otherwise is just feeding their own weird tragic artist fetish.
i hate it when someone asks me what my favorite work of art is because i can't say "the one of the woman chilling on the rocks with a dragon lying in her lap and giving off powerful big dick energy" but how else am i supposed to describe it
this is the definition of living deliciously
