10 years ago I became a women's football fan watching team gb during London 2012. Today I happened to recognise (thanks to a fellow volunteer) one of the player's on that GB squad Anita Ansante. Got my shirt signed and discussed briefly how it hasn't sunk in the England won the final on home ground at Wembley. What a day, what an atmosphere, this must be how fans felt when USA won in 1999 at home. Hopefully this translates to more fans and support for the women's game in the UK.

With the horrific attack that's happened to a PSG player recently the culprit(s) behind the organised crime is still at large please do not be swayed by tabloids claiming that a teammate was jealous and hired thugs like it's settled fact. The player suspected has been taken into custody has now been released and no charges were made. It's unacceptable for media or posters to jump to conclusions on a matter this serious as it means either someone is wrongly accused or even if proven innocent will be seen as guilty by those who do not follow up on the news.
