when I was part of a socialist group, there were mostly university students or those who had just graduated uni, as well as a few folks who seemed to be in their 60s or so. and I wondered how tf they're still doing this, how they're still motivated to push for a revolution if we still haven't achieved communism in all these years they've been fighting for it

I think a big part of it was that this socialist group always celebrated the little wins, like worker's uprisings happening in other countries even if they didn't turn communist, and every strike, and every leftist law being passed. I've also just realised that those things wouldn't have happened if there weren't folks fighting for a better world every day

maybe the hippies didn't end wars and maybe communists have never made a truly communist society, but what would the world look like without them? I think for a start, we would not have a pride month if it weren't for those who have fought for queer rights and who are still fighting for them even with everything happening today. without them, our fascist governments would have all the power and we would be far worse off than we are

so I think it's really important to remember that no matter what you do, whether you're spreading awareness to a few folks or going to protests or creating safe communities and whatnot, it's all important and we have not failed. we must keep going to resist our oppressors. I still believe that one day we will have peace and the world will be radqueer, and everything we do as a community is progressing us closer to our goals. but even regardless of that, we're making today's world a better place to live in

and for the record, we don't really identify with teratoqueer anymore? yeah we coined the label and still think it's fairly reasonable, but it was coined way before we realised rqc is filled with child groomers and abusers.

our current beliefs fall more under synqueer (a syncretic label combining radqueer and anti-radqueer beliefs, albeit highly unfinished and still very much leaning pro-radqueer more than it doesnt). which sounds insane on paper i know but that label is coined out of frustration with rqc not actually wanting to infringe on the good parts of radqueer.
