it’s crazy how the people who are typically the most vocal advocates in the queer and disabled communities will go quiet about anything to do with racism. i’ve seen it in groups i regular quite often. people who are typically open to criticism shutting down when you mention that something they said has racist undertones. like it makes me wonder, when you’re advocating for your queer and disabled siblings, are you imagining them all white? why does the strive for justice suddenly fizzle out when the conversation touches on race?

i dont like the characterization of "diagnosis" as "what thing is wrong with you" either, btw.

like. im sure for a woman in the 1800s it could feel very affirming to be diagnosed with 'hysteria'. now you finally know what's wrong with you, now you know what's going to make you better, and there's this whole grand old apparatus interested in helping you! (assuming you're not immediately locked away for it.)

and nowadays we have hysteria support groups, hysteria communities, hysteria positivity blogs, and people tagging your posts with hysteria. you should see a doctor about hysteria, btw. learning i had hysteria just made everything make sense! it's just so nice to know what's wrong with you, isn't it? i do not think the field of psychiatry has overcome its foundations in systematizing racism and misogyny, on any level.

ngl, i use stitch as a privacy thing, since i had a name; but Stitch feels more like my name then the name i chose when my egg cracked. It's a good bodily name tho so still have a use for it.

We lost too much ground by not hyphenating trans-feminism. Trans-feminism is no different to or seperated from feminism because trans women are no different from non-trans women. You can't be a feminist if you aren't a trans-feminist because you cannot support women if you do not support all women
