*gently gathers everyone who writes Humans Are Weird/Space Orcs/Space Australians fics* WRITE A BOOK GODDAMMIT
JUST FUKIN DO IT
Listen we’re working on it ok.
It’s kinda hard with the conflicting timelines we’ve individually created but we’re doing the best we can
Guess what came out this summer!
I’ve read it. It’s great. A dozen short stories written by some very good authors, with That Original Tumblr Post as the introduction.
I’m sure there are tons of amazing novels in progress (including mine), and that will take time. But in the meantime, humans are weird short stories!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
honestly, I’m shocked that I never heard of this!! why has nobody told me?
Holy shit, @apollymi, I need this
@dwarrowkings
@read-write So we are going to the bookstore tomorrow as well???
How much does this cost? I think ill order it tonight
It’s $3.99 for the Kindle edition and $13.49 for the paperback: http://amzn.to/2xaSeZu
WHAT HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS
read my comic
“Eyes in the Shadows”
It took longer to figure out some html things than I would have liked, but I can finally post my Senior Project, a modern fantasy comic that pays homage to the victims of the Green River Killer. I hope to be putting this to print soon so I can have a copy at least, but when I do sort that out I’ll be sure to post an announcement for it.
Warning: Comic contains the results of off-screen violence and one instance of teeth/fang-related body horror.

Well, this is the instruction book Shelly uses–living west of Rogers Park with her grandparents, she hangs around Devon Avenue pretty often. The store owner told her this was their most popular book and she’d better get it before someone else does! Though that could’ve just been because they were trying to rush her out before she accidentally knocked all the bookcases over…
Thanks, @kojimasoujiro!
Hot dang…
An incredible orchestrated medley of Undertale songs that resurrected this blog from the dead. Exquisite arrangement with beautiful playing. Toby Fox himself tweeted about it on Twitter.
0:04 - Determination (speech intro) 1:07 - Spear of Justice 2:47 - sans. 3:32 - Papyrus (Bonetrousle) 4:32 - Bergentrückung / Asgore 5:45 - Toriel (Heartache) 6:39 - Asgore (reprise)
I have no words to say except that I love pretty much everything about this, and I highly recommend you give this a try if you like good things. It’s a little on the longer side. It is well worth the length.
Also the second half of the song is quite possibly my favorite Undertale performance of all time. It’s at least top five.
This is everything I could have ever wanted for Christmas. ;u;
Maps are awesome. What would you do if you found a 400-year-old map up your chimney? When an enormous 17th century map created by a well-known engraver was discovered by a homeowner crumpled up inside a chimney in Scotland, it was delivered to the National Library of Scotland.
“This is one of the most challenging tasks our conservation team has faced and they have done a terrific job,” National Librarian John Scally says in a statement. “Although significant sections of the map have been lost, the remainder has been cleaned and stabilized for future study and enjoyment.”
Filmmaker Trina Mckendrick filmed book and paper conservator Claire Thomson as she has painstakingly worked to restore the centuries-old map:

Chinese acrobat contorts her body to squeeze through ladder and boxes suspended in the mid-air
Published on Nov 23, 2016
During the second season of China Central Television’s popular talent show “Impossible Challenge”, an acrobat named Sun Fei from northeast China’s Liaoning Province performed a breathtaking feat of flexibility. By progressing through a series of tiny boxes, cylinders and ladders, the contortionist was able to climb down an obstacle course 8 meters high. Awestruck, the judges looked on as 28-year-old Dalian woman emerged at the end of the challenge unscathed. Watch the video for the impossible challenge.

as much as I love your contortionist kanaya, I only worry how long you've been making her spine in some of those pictures. also how does she stand so tall when part of her spines been blown out? these are the questions that haunt me, darn hussie!
Ah! I’m actually glad you commented on this. I had done the “extended spine” thing on purpose. Most people write it off as a mistake, but when you think about it, it actually makes more sense. Take this image, for instance.Obviously there is some funky stuff going on there with her spine. Because rib cages cannot bend, all of that flexibility she’s showing in these images is largely influenced by the fact that she has a segment of her spine missing. We aren’t going to get into the physiology of how she still walks because I really cant help you there. Comics. That’s the best answer I can give you.Anyway, If you look at the picture up there, I’m staying true to the whole “rib cages can’t really bend” thing. I still wanted to find a way to push the limits here and find a way for her to go through herself. Literally what’s happening here is that she has stretched the flesh between where her spine ends and begins again in her abdomen to make way for her head and shoulders. The same amount of space that the hole is open, her spine has separated. It’s like if you had two separate plastic bars end-to-end in the same rubber tube. You can still stretch the rubber tube where the plastic bars aren’t attached, but the ends are still solid so they won’t stretch. In this case, her rib-cage is one of those plastic bars, as is her pelvis.So in any of the cases where it seems like her back is “broken”- it literally is. In the cases where it seems like her spine has separated from itself to stretch unnaturally- it literally has.Oh- and my explanation on how she still keeps herself upright is by corset. (Fun fact- there are a few humans alive today who have worn corsets so tightly for so long, they can no longer stand upright without them! Their muscles have deteriorated too much to support their own weight That’s where I got the idea that Kanaya would use them because she COULDN’T stand upright by herself if she had wanted to.))
Wish I had a fancy wine glass but I’m mixing this cheap shit with ice tea anyway so eh
Also new glasses! I’ve had them for about two weeks now and I love them
Character design assigment !
for non french speakers: basically Mahé suffers from a very rare disease since she was born, until a strange alien breaks into the hospital’s window and gets into her body. curing her instantanely and giving her special abilities, which is super cool. But now all the scary TV people want her, which is super uncool. Fortunately the alien is still here, in her wig, preventing her from eventual danger.
