Did anyone else notice that the second when blanc turns around and goes "I am going to embarrass myself here, I adore sweetie pants...I live in mine..." Birdie Jay never attempts to flirt with him again ? Until that point it's clear she found him attractive but the second those words are spoken she stops.
Girl really knew how to take the hint. But also, WAS THAT THE POINT WHEN SHE WENT "OHHH HES GAY." ???
That is peak writing. Everyone else on that Island seems to look at him once and go "yep. Fruity." Case closed. It took her HOURS to figure that out which makes sense for her character. It also makes sense that this statement was enough for her to draw the conclusion that he was gay but not literally everything else. But at the same time it also makes sense that despite this she respects blanc and backs off the second she realises which is an excellent way to indicate that despite not being the brightest of the bunch she doesn't necessarily want to be a dick or that despite being an awful person even she won't cross that line, both of which are equally hilarious.

Dinosaurs, dinosaurs, a long time ago.
To build up my portfolio, I've done my own take on my favorite book from when I was a little kid: Dinosaurs, Dinosaurs, originally written and illustrated by Byron Barton back in the '80s. My mom read this to my big brother so many nights, and then to me -- he's in his 30s and I'm 26, and we quote it to each other to this day. I'm looking forward to reading it to my nieces too. It'll always have a special place in my heart; the original has such a cool art style and I really encourage people to give it a Google! 🦖🦕🌋
(Incidentally, I'm available for work in the kid lit/YA illustration genres! I can be reached for such inquiries via email.)
