Gift me with unshakable faith, and unbreakable belief, and complete trust in your plan, and a reason to stay on this path.

My Lord, You're always with me, yet, why do I feel so lonely? My Lord, You know best, yet, I still have doubt about that which is ahead.

My Lord, breathe life into my once again, for have I truly lived if I have no memories? My Lord, what crimes have I committed to be trapped in this worldly prison?

My Lord, should I burn and boil my body to prepare for the Hellfire? My Lord, why can't I stay down when I fall deeper into this hole of dispair.

VVINTER; Nihilist:

Why do you care if it doesn't matter. Why concern yourself with that which will expire.

As much as you hate the world you live in, and the society which looks after you, you are its biggest enabler.

Now come back to the self, you are simply a camel, far from a lion or a creating child.

You do not care, and I applaud you for it. You've seen into the mind of the universe but you answer is absurd.

You claim to wish to understand the world, yet all you do is excuse everything with the existance of a god.

You disagree with that which allowed you to have what you have now, you yearn for answers yet, you never ask.

I'll attend your funeral, but your memorial was yesterday. You're no philosopher, for they would not be influenced as easily as you have been.

But it doesn't matter. I don't matter, nothing matters. Not even you.

VVINTER; Influence:

You cannot change who you are but you may change how you appear to be. Yet, you've never tried.

Join me in this world, unusually limiting like everything you do. Influence is what you seek with your closed eyes and nothing in your mind can stay behind.

Come, join me in this world a hopelessly hopeful land and relieve your worry. Influence is what you seek so you shall see.

An hour of joy for a lifetime of sorrow. You may not change who you are but you may change how you appear to be. You are a victim of influence you are a child of promise, forced into a box where you cannot express even the shallowest of opposing thought.

I claim no victim of your doing for you are a victim of their influence. Yet, you walked away, chastising me every time I stray. It wouldn't be the first time though, a few months of joy beats a lifetime of sorrow.

VVINTER; Violent Vultures:

Soaring across the sky, their wicked flapping of wings and sick laughter echoing over the land; serving as a warning for those unlucky enough to see or hear.

The committe of death, as they were called for reasons clear enough, were also the servants of suffering. Shamelessly, they hunted, they hunted together, greed and gluttony narrating their instincts.

Any unfortunate to encounter could not live to tell the tale although their agony was quite clear. The committee would grip, and pull, and tear, feeding off of both flesh and fear.

As sadistic as they may be, they were not evil at first, eating what they could, consuming what they had to. Competition was few, not like others could eat the rotting. Yet they got bored and wished to hunt for the thrill of hunting. As the terror continued the prey hid fearing for both their lives and the lives of their young. Knowing death was a guarantee they died alone, hidden from the vultures' sights. Those who have once believed that they could overrule nature or outsmart an intelligent creator, have now dug their own graves.

Weeks have passed since the taste of flesh, days have passed since the refreshment of blood, and the vultures were in no good shape to hunt.

Gliding across the sky with their last push of strenght, praying for a meal, even if it was nothing more than a carcass. Thus, one by one being failed by their own bodies, plummited to the ground. Dying upon impact, necks twisted and bons showing and blood spilling and the ground drowning.

As the last vulture fell, its life crossing its mind reflecting on everthing it did and feeling immense pride. It hit the ground, a loud thud echoing, its lifeless eyes capturing an image of another committee.

It all turned black, it all turned dark, but light was at the end of the tunnel and then, a child woke, prideful of its accomplishments.

Necklace:

I wear the necklace you gifted and I feel as if a curse has been lifted. To hang above my chest, where I want your head to lay and rest.

I like the jewel, for it resembles an eye. An eye I turn to when in need of a lie.

I love the presence it has, it reminds me of your gentle hands. It makes me feel as if you're always here, it makes me feel like you're somewhere near.

This necklace is an Ouroboros with no way to lift it off my skin. It wasn't the remedy I searched for, it just suppressed the curse from before. It bruises me, and it brings me pain, a certain type I can't quite explain. Please stay, please remain.

But the only way to remove this type of curse is to hang by a loose knot and hope it doesn't fall apart.

February 13th:

Hold me close, and crush my bones in your hug of sorrow. Take a breath, shed a tear, and don't let go of me, my dear.

Have you felt love before? Have hope for a better future. Have you given your heart out again? How many times has it been broken?

You hold my hand as we walk, you look into my eyes as we talk. We smile at each other, we're so similar... But we're far too different for one another.

I drown in sweet lies, but don't suffocate me in the truth. Have you noticed how the time flies? Have you noticed the hearts in my eyes?

It's midnight now, and it's already tomorrow. So I ask you with fear if you have a Valentine's this year.

Red Fire, Black Smoke

Red dress, pink lips, a smirk so sly,

Hip swing left, hip swing right—don’t pass me by.

A step so smooth, a glance so keen,

That’s the walk I’d watch, lost in a dream.

Red hair burns like fire untamed,

Black smoke lingers, calling my name.

Her gaze ignites, my thoughts collide,

A wildfire raging deep inside.

She moves like music, slow and sweet,

A melody traced in every beat.

The world stands still when she’s in view,

Like time itself bows down to you.

A whisper soft, a laugh so low,

Like secrets only the devil would know.

She paints the night with every stride,

A flame too fierce, too bright to hide.

I should look away, break the trance,

But every moment feels like chance.

One more step, one more sigh,

One more moment before goodbye.

I know it's the end of the year and people are doing reflecting

But I wanted to make an appreciation post for my guitar

Her name is Tara, and she is a classical guitar. She is twice as old as me and was made in East Germany. The company that made those guitars collapsed with the Soviet union. She came with my mum all the way from Ukraine all those years ago.

I am currently in the process of deep cleaning and restringing her, which is deeply satisfying and exciting even though it's hard work. This has been overdue for years...

The truth is, although I've been playing her for almost a decade now, I haven't really, properly appreciated her until this year. I loved the guitar, but I didn't have the energy to maintain a relationship with it. It felt draining rather than energising. I remember looking at her (my guitar) from across the room and thinking, "I'm sorry, I'm letting you down". And so I'm not really at the level I would like or expect to be at. As they always say, if you ignore Music, it ignores you.

But that changed in the last few months of the year. Partly because of seeing my favourite musician live. He is a huge inspiration - magic, dreams and pure emotion flow out of the guitar when he touches it. Partly because I discovered folk music - music that I like that I could actually play. Partly because my headphones broke. I turned to music inside me coming out, rather than outside coming in.

And partly because, like a guitar, I stripped my strings and began the process of cleaning and restringing. It was really hard, painful, confusing, lonely, exciting, and freeing. I found that only my guitar could solace me during that time. I played and I played. With different tunings and a newly acquired capo a multitude of new worlds opened up to me. I never knew the guitar could be so expansive... That it could be anything...

I stumbled and fell. Poured my soul into it. Wrote two songs. Learnt and improvised many more.

Basically, I fell in love with the guitar.

It really helped me through a lot this year. It allowed me to process my emotions and grief and brought me joy and light when I felt lost or unwilling.

And I owe it all to beautiful Tara... She's been there for me all along. Waiting patiently.

She's battered and bruised now, and I'm glad she is finally getting the care that she deserves. She will shine like new when I'm done and the sound will be ten times better than what it was, by which I mean, it will be heavenly.

Restringing my guitar is a step towards restringing myself, and falling back in love with making music represents me falling in love with the world, and life, again. I am very grateful.

Maybe one day I will make a post about my other guitar, Gigi. Although we don't have much history together yet - her G string snapped a few months after I got her whilst retuning... :(

Anyway, that's quite enough for now. Happy New Year's, to anyone who's reading this. I wish you a year full of music and joy!

Paralysis:

Paresthesia on my fingertips no control over my body. Another breath barely leaving my lips, eyes moving rapidly, yet too slow to catch the shadows moving across my bedroom walls.

I'm burning up now and it's hard to breathe. Come, sit on the edge of my bed, straner from off the wall.

Breaths heavy, with you sitting on my chest, your hollow red eyes staring intimately into the depths of my mind.

Look into my thoughts, read my fears and passions, describe them to your friends on the walls which come strangely close to the foot of my bed.

All of your hands around my throat strangling me until my last breath. Yet, on my face he places his hat and suffocates me just like that.

As I lay for my eternal rest, I'm woken up, laced with a cold sweat.
