sam grew up with dean calling him baby, he stopped doing it when sam went to standford. so it was very surreal when he started using it again some random casual sunday morning in the bunker after many many years

sam remembers how dean used to say it. “No baby, focus” or “baby? What are you doing?” he was always so subtle and natural, easily rolling out of his tongue, it didn’t use to make his heart race like now though
