Good news, fellow artists! Nightshade has finally been released by the UChicago team! If you aren't aware of what Nightshade is, it's a tool that helps poison AI datasets so that the model "sees" something different from what an image actually depicts. It's the same team that released Glaze, which helps protect art against style mimicry (aka those finetuned models that try to rip off a specific artist). As they show in their paper, even a hundred poisoned concepts make a huge difference.

(Reminder that glazing your art is more important than nighshading it, as they mention in their tweets above, so when you're uploading your art, try to glaze it at the very least.)

He makes it a point that none of the gods are supposed to be similar to their Marvel counterparts, so I think he saw that MCU!Loki had some semblance of a human soul behind those eyes and course corrected so hard that he drove right off a cliff.

Actually, Marvel!Loki used to be pure evil. He only started getting a sort of redemption arc after 2011 and Marvel writers saw all the fans fawning over Tom Hiddleston. Old!Comics!Loki was one of those "abusive husband" type to their Sigyn... to the point that other writers growing up reading the Thor comics (like Neil Gaiman) absorbed this (very false) version of Loki and Sigyn and depicted them THAT way when they wrote their own retelling of the myths.

IT WAS BAD. IT WAS VERY VERY BAD.

But yeah, for the "evil Loki" depiction, it's not just Marvel. Read "The Children of Odin" written in 1920. Full Odin propaganda, with Good Wise King Odin and Evil Loki (and his poor victim of a wife Sigyn).

I remember another Norse mythology book where they had erased Sigyn and her kids completely, stopping the punishment scene with a "it was a terrible punishment, and we won't get into the details, but it was deserved"

What makes me laugh is that while Riordan denies any Marvel influence, but if the Riordan wiki page is right, HE CALLS LOKI "LAUFEYSON" ... A mistake that was spread by Marvel. Loki's name is LAUFEYJARSON, as Laufey is his mother, not his father.

While we're at it, Sigyn's page on the Riordan wiki makes two mistakes about her that are soo Marvel I have to scream...

Sigyn's title as Goddess of Fidelity is PURE MARVEL. Though I'm sure Sigyn would agree it kinda fits her, she never had that title.

BUT MOST OF ALL, OMG. PEOPLE, before writing stuff like this, READ THE EDDAS. "Though never explicitly stated, many scholars have considered Sigyn to belong to the Aesir" ???

IT IS WRITTEN IN THE EDDAS. COME ON.

Her name is in the Asynjur list!!!!
