There is a moment where Marion's character mentions a new art exhibit called My Bed by Tracey Emin.

I just watched My Policeman …

Can i say that’s my heart is broken … like really …

I have seen people’s reaction but i didn’t give them two thoughts because i have often been the kind of person who didn’t “feel” the same way as everyone else towards certain films or series…

But damn all the people’s reaction was right.

The last scene, my heart couldn’t handle it. i was crying so hard.

Having not read the book, I didn't know what to expect. But now I understand some comments from Harry and the rest of the cast on the subject.

And can I say that I can't understand how some could talk about a love triangle?

But also I don't really agree that Tom loved Marion.

I think for a long time he respected her thinking she was supporting him and "accepting" the situation and his apologies but I think mostly that comfort of doing the right thing that society wanted led him to believe that he had some affection for her other than respect.

At the end, I didn’t feel the sadness of a separation.. I feel certainly a feverish breath but the relief of a weight that had sucked a lot of his life.

She freed him from the cage he thought he deserved and grieved.

of course I specify that it is my contribution without having read the book that I am going to order now.

When I read the book, I never felt he loved Marion. I do think men of that generation certainly looked at and treated women very differently than they do today. She took care of him. As he said earlier in the film, he was “fond of her”. When she left in the end, he was upset about being left alone. But I didn’t get the feeling he was upset because he’d miss her, specifically. You know?

I’m really interested to hear your thoughts after you read the book.
