Fish Flop [Luna/Renee]
Usually Luna wouldn’t venture so far away from town during the summer– the heat was just unbearable for her most of the time. That, and going outside lately has awarded her with multiple bug bites so she had less motivation to actually go out. But she hadn’t seen Julius around for a while, and decided to venture out to his place to check up on him. She was willing to bet that he had just left the island for a bit and forgot to mention it, but still. She wanted to go out and check herself.
A familiar brunette came into view, one she hadn’t talked to in a while. Just as Luna removed her sun hat to fix her hair a bit and began to approach her to say hi, something… wet and smelly just about whacked her straight across her head. Fins slapped against her face, and Luna shrieked.
“What the –!! Heck–!! Get it off!!! Get it off!!” Luna cried out, flailing her arms about in an effort to make the grossness go away.
Once the little demon was finally no longer near her face, she turned towards Renee, absolutely fuming. She wiped her face with her hand, and shook tiny droplets of water off before addressing the brunette.
“Are you usually so careless when you’re fishing?!” Her tiny fists were balled up at her sides as she glared up at the farmer. “You could have ruined my hat! And my clothes! You ruined my clothes! And my hair! Do you know how stubborn fish smell is?!!” Gross, gross, gross!!
“N-No... not usually.” Renee tried her best to respond while also making sure not to make her more angry. An angry Luna was never a good thing; a fact everyone in town was very in the know about. This day was not ending up like how she thought it would. Luna’s high pitched reactions to this whole thing was making Renee flinch. Gosh, she was just so mad.
“Let me help you get cleaned up! We can go back to my house and I’ll even wash your clothes and make you something to snack on.” She replied to her as calmly as she could, trying to get the fish to stop wiggling around, as it was getting fish juice everywhere. Plus, the faster she could get this away from Luna, the better.
So she quickly went back to her things, taking the fish she caught and putting it into the cooler with the others. Surely, her mother wouldn’t mind taking care of them while she took care of their guest. Walking back to Luna, she took another good look at her before frowning, guilt covering her face. “I really am so so sorry Luna... I’ll do anything to make this better!”
