Finally catching up on Deltarune chapters so I can play the latest one and I KNOW this will be controversial but Queen deserves all the Tumblr sexyman fanart that Tenna is getting. Tenna is OK he's fun but Queen coming before him and setting the stage for similar aspects of Tenna's level design just made me miss her so baddddd I know that Tenna is #gaydivorced and is an object head man in a suit and has abandonment issues and ppl love a sopping wet sad man but have you seen Queen. Tenna is the first time in all my years as a black person in fandom spaces that I have ever seen people almost entirely unanimously agree that a non-human character with no race-coding one way or the other was black and there be absolutely no argument about it from people who might happen to think otherwise, so to watch people just suddenly try to boil him down to some white guy in a suit legitimately drives me nuts. Like be so fucking serious right now.

I didn't watch people start to research all sorts of black entertainers and TV stars and be excited to learn about people I've loved and looked up to for years for you people to call Tenna a white man and then double down on it just because you don't like him.

When I first watched Iron Lung, I admit in saying that I was a little surprised people were shocked that Mark made this like…deep psychological cosmic horror film as if it felt so distinct from his brand. Like I watched (and fucking loved) Damien, I kinda always knew he had something like that in him. Sure it wasn’t full of jokes like his other projects, but idk I sorta saw the trajectory of how we got here.

But after recently rewatching In Space and the WKM series, I’m realizing “oh no this was ALWAYS his schtick.” Guy actually has multiple projects talking about cosmic horror, manipulation of time and space, plotlines that require multiple rewatches to pick up on all the pieces, and complicated characters facing their past mistakes and how they react to that in the present. The only difference is that Iron Lung isn’t funny lol.

ralsei’s stance when she’s wearing the princess dress is so much more Open compared to how it is in her regular sprites. here, her hands rest comfortably at her sides but when she’s wearing her regular clothes they are usually behind her back. idk where i’m going with this but she was so Happy and Comfortable being a princess it makes me #Emotional that she still wanted validation that she could be one
