"if i was a good secret murderer, that's exactly what i'd want you to say," ash points out. but he only plays the joke out for so long; her tour is more interesting anyway. there's not much to his own home — when he lives a life split between seoul and los angeles, there isn't room to have all that much to either place. neither have ever felt all that much like a home instead of a house. in jooeun's apartment, he sees the little things that say jooeun and he's hopeful her situation is different from his own, even if the place is still new to her.
he laughs a little, shaking his head regretfully. "my take on the plantcore look would be way more plantcorpse. i barely keep myself alive most days; i think throwing this many plants into the picture would only be asking for trouble. i admire the display of how much you've got your shit together, though. i'm jealous." he grins, letting her know his envy is all light-hearted. "i like it all. it suits you." he reaches for a beer of his own and calls it self-control. "any chance you're ever gonna let me play around in your studio?" he takes a swig and quickly remembers why he doesn't usually drink beer — but it'll keep him from getting shit-faced before they've even had the chance to catch up.
"plantcorpse huh?" jooeun took a sip, making a face that she felt was pretty normal to make. that first taste left much to be desired. "not the worse concept i've heard of, could be worse." what it was? jooeun didn't have answer but something could always be worse. "together? do i have my shit together? i'm not sure." possibly, she was simply a person who presented well enough. "this new move still feels like a tantrum in a way. if i didn't make it homey, i'd probably go back." outside of her parent's home, she had never truly attached herself to her any of her apartments. it'd be nothing to pack back up and return home when she finally broke and followed the call. "i'm depressing myself. is that even a sentence? anyway, you can play away you like. we could head in there if you'd like. tonight might be the night to make a hit." no, no talk about her parents for now, she had another things to complain about. and it was always best to vent to a friend.
another reason she wanted taeyong over. they were friends. in fact, she would consider him one of her best friends. it wasn't as if her circle was huge but even in that circle taeyong was someone she felt truly comfortable with. the rare person that saw her outside of her perfectly practice persona. "we're friends? i'm not asking we're friends so i'm going to get to the point." the slight seriousness to her tone, the way she moved around until she was in an upright position. it was all for a the drama of it all. what she had to say was much, much less serious but jooeun still downed the rest of her beer. "i'm at the point of temptation of joining app to get laid." she didn't know how he was going to take it but jooeun had launched into her semi-rant. "i don't know plant pheromones have taken over but i'm in incredibly...you know, i almost had a jumping the footman moment. and i guess finding someone is easy enough but then letting them find out i'm lacking the experience." when she was finished, it ended with a pout as she reached for another drink and bag of snacks, shooting him a look. "and don't you laugh, you're job tonight is to console, comfort and complain with me. the three c's."
"not really a girl's night but best friend night. so sit and get drunk with me." and another pout, for good measure.
