I am dying to have this desk, but sadly it is completely out of my budget right now 😭

This morning has already been hard on my mental health, but just have to keep moving forward.

what really keeps me going is dreaming of one day living happily in a cosy home with handmade ceramics on every surface and art from small artists on every wall, and plants and flowers everywhere, and fruit that I can lovingly slice up and eat while I lay on a rug and read, and so much love and safety and care

You know what I'm just learning, and I don't know who else needs to hear this but

it's not cheating to make things manageable for yourself

I'm very dyslexic but I love baking, and packet mixes have become my best friend, it's less reading, and less measuring ingredients and I know the end result will taste good.

I know the instructions for my favourite from memory and it makes it so much less stressful for me to enjoy something I love to do!

It's not cheating to wear slip on shoes if you can't manage laces, it's not cheating to try out a bus route before you have to go somewhere new for the first time, it's not cheating to look up the menu for a restaurant before you go out to eat.

make things easier for yourself, you deserve to be able to live your life and do whatever you need to, to make it manageable

Slow Mornings

I’m working hard to embrace slow mornings. Mornings where I don’t need to anything but just be here, alive, and enjoying the space around me.  I’m always so caught up in my own head and thinking about how this thing or that thing in my life isn’t perfect, or at a minimum isn’t how I want it to be.  Sometimes it’s hard sitting still, taking in my surroundings, and giving myself the space to say, “This is enough.” So here is to slower mornings, and maybe just maybe starting to love who I am and where I am at this time and place.
