Hi. It's been a while.....

Things have been incredibly busy since the holidays. Between work, training, illnesses, and just general life stuff... I haven’t really had the energy or been in a headspace to create or post anything new.

I’m hoping things will slow down soon, but for now I’ll probably be a bit quiet for a few more weeks or months...

I still love Superbat, they are my emotional support couple, but for the moment I'm redirecting all that support internally until this is sorted.

It is not that I don't have the motivation, it's that I start to think about omega Clark being dysphoric. He keeps thinking that he's not like most earth omegas and he isn't small, dainty, conventionally cute and his heats turn him into a furious ball of rage that snarls at anything that breathes. Then he ends up in a relationship with Alpha Bruce, who's bigger (not necessarily stronger) and unfazed by Clark's heat driven agitation. Bruce looks at him, tells him how good he smells and how beautiful he is, and all of his anger just melts into a puddle on the floor.

Vampire!Bruce who ends up dating Clark, all while thinking he would be a safe and normal influence for Dick and Jason (who already have a non-human parental figure)...only to later find out that Clark is an indestructible alien who would do anything for his kids.

I am also firmly of the conviction that, at first, Bruce would not trust anyone outside himself, Clark and Alfred to look after Dick, so this was a normal sight at meetings in the beginning, when Dick would whine and get teary-eyed about wanting to go to the office with Bruce. This was before Bruce developed the puppy-dog eyes immunity that parents have.

I also think that the employees loved having Dick around; he is a smart and charismatic kid. They added a lot of toys and tastefully designed play structures to the building to make sure Mr. Wayne's son had all the enrichment he needed for long days in the office. Sometimes dick would even helped with business proposals. A picture of something he drew (or drew on) would end up in a presentation every now and again, and no one would even comment on it.

Clark is obsessed with leaving marks all over Bruce. Maybe it's because his own skin can't bloom with bruises, or maybe it's awakens some deeply possessive instincts, but whenever he can (whenever he is allowed to) Clark leaves as many marks as he can.

It's rare for Bruce to let him go all out, but after long missions or time apart, Clark's desperate pleas don't fall of completely deaf ears.

He leaves marks everywhere he can reach, nowhere is safe.

Seeing Bruce in the bat suit then watching him take off a gauntlet to reveal bite marks on his fingers, is an... experience for the members of the league.

They can only imagine what the rest of him looks like, but given Superman's glazed-over, blissful expression, it's fared much the same.

The only idea that has been sitting in my head for weeks now is Howl's moving castle but Superbat.

Clark would be Sophie

Bruce is Howl

Alfred of course is Calcifer

Markl is Dick

Of course Clark can't talk about who cursed him but he knows that Bruce would be able to help him so he goes to find the handsome wizard to help him break the curse.

There is a short comic of what it would be like if Bruce and Clark had met when they were younger. It had Bruce and Alfred stuck in Smallville for an evening due to car troubles.

Then I got to thinking about space a parasite (Venom anyone?) and what would have happened if one had hitched a ride on Clark's ship. It remained dormant until the was a viable host nearby and while Clark and Bruce played around in the barn it manage to attach itself to Bruce without them noticing.

Bruce left, not knowing about his mysterious passenger until a few years later, where, thoroughly integrated into his psyche the creature says it can help him to make Gotham safer, to exact vengeance on those that poison the city with their tyranny and Bruce accepted it.

When Batman and Superman meet, he feels the twisted presence of something other attached to the bat. Clark wants to bring it up but Batman is already wary about their partnership which makes it difficult. Superman watches for any signs of danger and Batman doesn't kill, he uses fear to keep the underbelly of Gotham from completely overtaking the city.

The creature feeds on the fear Batman evokes, using it to fuel his endeavors. The edges blur even further until it becomes too ambiguous to tell where Bruce ends and the creature begins.

Krypton exists

Kal-El is sent to a diplomatic summit.

Earth exists

Bruce is lost in space for 2 months after a mission gone wrong.

On the way home, Kal picks up a distress beacon from a small craft and rescues the most handsome creature he has ever seen.

They realize Bruce would not be able to tolerate the atmosphere of Krypton so Kal takes a detour to Earth.

It ends up being a one month trip. They get to know each other, share stories about their worlds, and somewhere along the way, Kal-El starts to fall in love with the Earth from Bruce's stories about their imperfect society and maybe a little with the strange man in the bat suit he picked up.

When they finally reach Earth, Kal decides to stay a while. Earth's atmosphere takes some getting used to, and by the time his powers start to manifest Bruce is right there through it helping and guiding him to become the hero of a world he didn't expect to love as his own.

I think Bruce would be quite nervous about meeting Clark's parents. Not because of his reputation (though that may play a part), but because he knows just how much they mean to Clark, and he doubts they'd see him as a good match. He is, of course, deeply wrong, and proven so by the warm embraces he receives. The Kents adore him and with every visit, every meal, every kind word, his doubts are washed away and replaced with the comfort of belonging.

Bruce's publicist asked him to be a guest on an interview show where he got to play with puppies, but what they didn't account for was that he would be so genuinely enamored playing with them that he accidentally (or was it entirely intentional) revealed his engagement.

"This one is so cute! He reminds me of my fiancé!"

Now everyone is losing their minds on the internet. Who is he engaged to!? Was it a slip of the tongue? A joke?

But no, Bruce doesn't release a statement, and he even adopts the puppy. He is seen walking the dog and even taking it with him to work. But no one has gotten a single picture or a positive ID on the fiancé.

Eventually, the press dies down, until months later when Tim and Dick post on their social media, a small album of photos with captions reading,

"Congrats on one month!"

The cover photo shows Bruce smiling, eyes shining, next to an equally radiant, smiling man holding the leash of a proud little pup wearing a bowtie.

And that's how everyone finds out that Bruce Wayne married Clark Kent.

Reporter Clark Kent hears about the strange happenings in Gotham. The perpetual fog, the mansion that stands on the hill disappearing and only reappearing once a year. The family that disappeared at a party, the people who wandered out of the forest with no memory of how they got there, and a creature said to steal the memories of its victims, often leaving them hollow.

Clark can't help but investigate. His search for clues leads him to meeting a charming young man who knows an awful lot about Gotham's history, and could be the key to unlocking the mystery of the fog.

I have so many ideas but also nothing is sparking joy right now. I guess I'll come back when something makes sense.

The only thing happening in my mind right now is dragon stuff...

All of the batkids, when hounded by the media to talk about their dad's love life, just drop vague hints about his maybe secret relationship with Superman to get the press off their backs.

Batman gets caught in a hallucinatory trap. Outwardly, he looks like he is fast asleep, but nothing the League or Superman has tried can wake him up.

In his head, things are different. He and Clark have already moved in together and are thinking about another huge step in their relationship, adopting a little boy named Richard Grayson. He is an orphan after the loss of his parents in a tragic car accident a year earlier caused by a drunk driver. Bruce can see it in him, the same loss and undirected anger he used to carry. He can't walk away from this boy, not when he needs someone. Not when those blue eyes are like looking at his own reflection.

But it isn't real, no matter how much Bruce wants it to be. The more he clings to Richard, the harder it is to tear himself away from the too perfect world. Outside, in the real world, his body slowly deteriorates, and Clark is running out of ways to reach him.

After Clark became friends with Bruce early in his superhero career, and saw how nonchalant Bruce could be about his health, he decides to collect as much medical knowledge as possible so he could help his best friend (turned partner) should anything ever happen.

Clark takes the task seriously, going to the library, checking out stacks of medical textbooks and journals. Reading up on strategies and new breakthroughs. Sometimes, he listens in on medical lectures when he gets the chance, and he'll ask doctors and nurses about their best practices whenever possible. Whatever it takes to make sure his Bruce is ok.

More and more, instead of Alfred, Clark is the one patching Bruce up, dressing his wounds and giving him medicine, telling him what's wrong and suggesting a course of treatment. Alfred is happy to know someone else cares enough about his boy to get him to at least admit that he needs rest and maybe even take some for a change.

Bruce would say he is tired of being hounded from all sides (Alfred, Clark, the kids...) but he's not. He appreciates being loved in this way, even if he has a hard time expressing it without scowling or brooding about it.
