My name's Leo! He/Him. I do writing requests, show off some of my own writing, and generally celebrate some of my fave comic characters!
REQUESTS OPEN!
Hello! Welcome to my blog! Here's a quick rundown of a bunch of stuff you should know:
Who am I?
My name's Leo! I'm a 20-something trans guy who loves comics. I grew up a DC fan but I'm learning more and coming around to Marvel. Although I'm also a big fan of more indie comics, with my all time favorite being Strangers in Paradise! I've been writing for a long time and, with my partner, am working on our own original superhero stories called Superego.
What's this blog?
So this is probably the more interesting question for most folks. Sort of as the description implies, this is primarily going to be a writing request/imagines type blog with the occasional mention/introduction of my own work if there's any interest! (And maybe just if I want to subject y'all to it anyway lol.)
What sort of stuff will I write/take requests about?
I'll write for most things. I can do any DC or Marvel characters as well as miscellaneous other comics. (Strangers in Paradise, Eltingville Club, Fables, just shoot me an ask and I'll see if I know it lol.) I'll give just about any character a shot, though there are some I know better than others, and my interpretation may vary slightly from someone else's. I will try to stay largely in character except for when it contradicts with a request, in which case they will be a slightly nicer version of themselves lol. I can do reader/canon, canon/canon, and even non-shipping focused character headcanons/situations if that's something anyone wants to read. I can do both SFW and NSFW prompts! (Minors DNI) I'm also down for AUs! I'm pretty open to most things but I reserve the right to veto a request for any reason. If you have any more questions feel free to ask!

Superego Breakdown (In Progress)
Hi! Any suggestions for good Ted Kord comics! Ive only ever really seen the JLI version of him and I didn't realize he could be so based! If there's any runs in particular you'd recommend I'd love to check them out.
I'm still in the middle of my Ted Kord/Blue Beetle 2 research so recs are based on what I've either read and liked or liked Ted in specifically even if I didn't care for the story itself.
Captain Atom (1966-1967) #83-86- Ted's first comics. Look out for period typical sexism. Has the first mini-Bug/Snoopy for spying on shit.
Blue Beetle (1967-1968) #1-5- Ted's first solo comics. Look out for period typical sexism and racism. Ted's ok with killing bad guys/won't lose sleep about it if it happens. My girl, the MVP Tracey is here as Ted's gf, lab assistant, and confidant. Issue 5 has Vic Sage/The Question showing up in his civilian persona and helping out Blue Beetle.
Charlton Portfolio (1974) #1- Ted's civilian persona gets blamed for murder and the theft of an invisibility suit. . Tracey defends her man's honor and chews people out for bad-mouthing Ted.
Charlton Bullseye (1981) #1- Blue Beetle 2 and The Question team up officially as superheroes taking on a villain with many mooks and death traps. Also, this story implies that Ted has been Blue Beetle for at least 10 yrs. The Question calls Blue Beetle his friend and thinks they make a good team.
Crisis on Infinite Earths (1985) #1-3 [you can read more if you want but he's less prominent the further the Crisis goes on]- Ted's DC universe debut as part of the Earth 4 crew. This Ted has the Scarab and it can work as demon repellant and keep him from getting disintegrated from being touched by antimatter demons. Ted is cosmically important enough to be Earth 4's representative!
Secret Origins (1986) #2- Dan and Ted's origins are retold to fit in the DC universe. Ted does not have the Scarab. Red-head curly-haired Ted!
Blue Beetle (1986) #1-24- Ted's DC solo run. Red-head curly-haired Ted! Ted has no confidence for his secret identity which causes drama. His girlfriend/lab assistant is Melody Chase. In issues 5-7, Vic Sage/The Question teams up with Blue Beetle 2 for an arc. This run has crossovers with Legends (1986) and Millennium (1988). Ted also starts appearing in Justice League International (1987)[boo, hiss, thankfully JLI didn't affect the plots of Ted's solo unlike the crossovers]
Showcase (1994) #2-4- Set in JLI era but Ted is pretty much himself. Ted fights cops and a city's local government b/c they stole his patents and they're fascists and he doesn't vibe with that.
L.A.W.: Living Assault Weapons (1999) #1-6- This series is racist trash propaganda. You mostly just want the first two and last two issues for Ted stuff. Ted decides to retire from being a superhero at the end of this series.
Birds of Prey (1999) #2, 4, 7, 10, 15, 19, 22-25, 33-37, 39-42- Ted makes a number of cameos initially via chatting online with Oracle as her friend. Then meeting up for an in-person date. Then coming out of retirement and joined the Birds of Prey on missions as support and a driver primarily. Then Ted gets diagnosed with a degenerative heart condition and retires again.
Robin (1993) #96- Ted teaming up with Tim Drake/Robin to track down a Jokerized werecat. Ted charms and scores a date with one of Dick Grayson/Nightwing's civilian love interests.
Convergence: Blue Beetle (2015) #1-2- A return of pre-DC Ted! Set on Earth 4's Hub City kidnapped by some cosmic entity pitting heroes against each other with the survival of their cities on the line. Blue Beetle, The Question, and Captain Atom vs the Legion of Super-Heroes. My girl Tracey is here! As Ted's copilot!
Convergence: Justice League International (2015) #1-2- DC Ted and with the Justice League International but well handled and enjoyable. Enjoyed him interacting with the Kingdom Come version of himself. Includes, Ted/Bea which is not something I expected but neat.
[I would specifically suggest giving the pre-DC comics a go, his OG DC solo run, Showcase (1994) #2-4. The two Convergence ones I felt were super fun for Ted stuff but that's just my opinion.
His DC solo run and Showcase (1994) #2-4, specifically say a lot of interesting things about Ted's personal politics (when he's written well). I do wish several things about his DC solo would have expanded from the more political bits of it, maybe with a second writer who's a bit more Left leaning that what was there. But what's there is very interesting.
Also RIP to Ted Kord that soooo many plot threads from his og solo got dropped and forgotten about specifically b/c DC put him in JLI and the JLI writers literally did no research about him and rewrote his personality to fit the jokes they wanted to make using him. Quite literally, he is some degree of OOC in everything he's in that's JLI related or referencing from JLI heavily. It high key infuriates me, hahahah.]

There are some Ted Kord/Blue Beetle 2 focused stories that I enjoyed from the JLI/JLA stuff. Either because Ted was particularly good in it, the story contains some info or events that is really useful/buildable from in it, and/or I just love the idea of Ted being in chill relationships with hot Black women.
Justice League America (1989) #26 [#27 i guess for Batman admitting that Ted was giving him a tough fight] - "Slice and Dice!" or "There's Something Very Wrong with the Blue Beetle!" (brainwashed Ted tried to kill Maxwell Lord)
Justice League America Annual (1992)#6- "Maximum Eclipse" (Ted faces down Eclipso on his own and i wish that had been brought up when Eclipso fought Jaime. Eclipso really 0 for 2 fighting Blue Beetles)
Justice League America Annual (1996) #10- "The Alliance" (an elseworlds-type story set in the far future with a cloned Justice League International)- Listen, the Implications about Ted being down to get cucked for the greater good/use his wife's pussy as part of a ploy is wild. Plus the Implications of Ted inviting Captain Atom to stay in that time and join Ted and his wife and raise the 3 of them's kid together. Also love double agent/leader of the resistance Ted.
Justice League Quarterly (1992) #9- "Frenzy" (the JLI gets dosed with a frenzy virus and have an hour to find out who's gonna go berserk and get a cure) A few quibbles on some minor details but love Ted actually using his brain, his stealth, and that he can be a 'scary' hero if he feels like it.
Justice League Quarterly (1992) #10- 'When Titans Date' (idk I think Ted picking up a cute Black lady after a failed date is just kinda neat even if it is on that JLI slander of Ted not being able to pick up women which is blatantly just lies)
[The specific JLI/A era story where its mentioned that Ted's friends with an anarchist hacker I do not recall the name of, only that it's either in JL Quarterly or Annual and that the story itself is more Booster Gold focused. With tidbits for Booster and Ted's friendship that I actually enjoyed for once which is ...rare for me.
There's some other useful things from this era that I didn't necessarily enjoy the stories they came from like: Ted having grown up in a town where his family were the only humans in town; Ted being predisposed to weight gain and his body dysmorphia due to extreme bullying in his childhood from his peers (in the hands of a writer who's not fatphobic, cause good lords and ladies does DC comics hate fat people, that could be really fun to work with); the previously mention anarchist hacker pal; Ted being particularly good at robbing banks if he felt like it; for some reason the writers made Ted slightly psychic but not due to a metagene and no one in-universe ever points it out]

Also, DC Showcase: Blue Beetle, an animated film is an absolute delight of stylistic suck fun and the Charlton crew getting to do shit together.

Just... I have a lot of strong feelings about Ted Kord/Blue Beetle 2 and the type of superhero that he could have become if he was allowed to grow more Left that what he was shown being in his DC solo and in Showcase 1994. If some writer built on shit and made him even more anti-cop, more anti-US government, more pro-community, more having complicated feelings about why people do crime and how to actually help b/c fighting/jailing people isn't necessarily the best solution [I have so many strong feelings about Blue Beetle 1986 issues #8 & #13], and more pro-using his billions to help regular citizens [it frustrates me that the writer didn't have Ted go 'maybe the best way to help homeless people is to give them safe homes and I have billions so i can just house people' at the end of Blue Beetle 1986 issue #16] it would be sooo good.
I'm officially a part of DC Gotcha for Gaza fan initiative!

Id love to request headcannon relationships of Death Of The Endless x Male Reader (a reader who had a near death experience and fell in love with Death herself, Death takes an interest on him)
Death of the Endless/Male!Reader Relationship Headcanons
((Uggghhh! Death is so pretty and kind and fun. What a dream-girl, no pun-intended. I hope you like this! I kept the near death ambiguous in case there was a specific circumstance you had in mind. Also TW For brief mention of dangerous risk-taking behaviors and obviously repeated discussions of death as a concept. I tried to write it in a way that was distinctly not reminiscent of realistic self-destructive behaviors and it's not how you gain Death's favor. But I figured there's no harm in over-warning.
When you first meet Death it's hard to process what's happening. You don't remember how you got to the hospital but suddenly you're looking down at yourself. It was a bit horrifying howâŚempty you looked in that bed. But you quickly forgot that when you sawâŚher? Was Death a her? She chuckled and told you it would work well enough. She was beautiful. Raven black hair that stuck out in all directions and dark, kohl-lined eyes that seemed bottomless but warm at the same time. Despite the terror, thereâs a sort of safety and peace that just exudes off of her. She reaches out a hand to you but just as you go to take it, she wrenches away. You try to reach out again, to find that peace, but she steps away. âSorry for the fright. Seems Iâm a bit early.â You ask if youâll see her again? When? âWell I canât tell you that, but weâll definitely meet again.â
Youâd woken up hours later, like it was all some sort of odd dream. And for a good while, you were insistent it was. But you couldnât help but wonder ifâŚjust maybe there was something more to it than that. You deep-dived into any sort of accounts or reports from people with similar experiences. You werenât trying to be a stalker or anything just couldnât get her out of your head. And just think of all the questions you could ask! What this could mean for religion and philosophy and well, everything! So eventually, on nothing but hope and a hunch, you took to hanging around graveyards. You would tend to the graves and look around but mostly, just sort of wait. And you didnât have to wait long. You couldnât read her at first, âLooking for Death in a graveyard? A bit on the nose donât you think?â Well, you could have started alligator wrestling but who likes a guy coming to bother them at their job? She actually laughed and in an instant, she seemed less like this untouchable force of nature and more like, well, human. And it was just as wonderful~
You werenât quite sure how you managed to convince her to stick around with you. Perhaps her little sibling played a part. Or perhaps she just decided one day wasn't really enough to understand the human experience. Either way, she started visiting more often. While she tried to resist the urge to take you as a lover, having seen how disastrous it often ended for the other Endless, she figured at the very least, sheâd never damn you to Hell, so how bad could it work out? She assured herself that as the primary psychopomp of Earth, she wouldnât allow herself to pick favorites when the time eventually came. Whether sheâs able to hold herself to that or notâŚwell youâll have to wait and see.
Itâs a little hard to not feel a bit out-matched or at least out of your depth when talking to her. Sheâs an immortal, an Endless, what could you, a mere human, have to offer her. What you donât understand, at least not right away at least, is thatâs exactly what she loves about you. Sure, she saw Shakespeare when it was first performed, but she can never quite enjoy it, or grasp the human concepts that made it so timeless. Donât get me wrong, sheâs much more in touch with humanity than her siblings and theyâre not completely alien to her. But how can you understand what it means to love another if youâve never felt the innocent shyness of a childhood crush, or grown old with the exact right person, wrinkled and toothless faces looking as beautiful to each other as the day you first met. The sadness that can only be felt by someone who has something to lose. The near-hysteric, absurd humor you can only get when youâre completely exhausted. Seeing all the little ways you interact, react, and engage with the world around you, a world sheâll always be on the fringes of, well, it makes her feel closer to this beautiful, beautiful life than she ever has.
This often leads you to the sometimes best, sometimes worst, but always the weirdest dates youâve ever been on. Bug-hunts, a concert for a band no oneâs ever heard of, trying to make actually Everything Bagel, etc. She wants to try everything and experience it through you. Though you might have to reel in the zest for life when she brings out the world's spiciest gummy bear. She just gets a bit excited and ahead of herself in her desire to finally vicariously try all the things that she canât squeeze into a single day. But she also understands that you need downtime too and is happy to just spend time relaxing with you.
The only thing sheâll never ever do, is take you to work with her. Itâs a line sheâs unwilling to cross, for two reasons. Number One: Itâs invasive, and while she tries her best to be a friend to those who need it most in their final moments, itâs often an incredibly painful and private moment, and she canât imagine most would want an audience for it. Number Two: While the Endless, and particularly her, were built to bear the collective joy and grief of a universe, humans are not. Sheâs terrified if she were to share even a fraction of the grief she witnesses with you, it would break something inside you no amount of time could heal. Perhaps not, but sheâs unwilling to risk it with someone so precious to her.
While this might seem obvious, her body is ice-fucking-cold. Itâs unclear if this bothers her or if she even knows it, but you donât think so if the constant tank-tops are any indication. She says that you feel warm though, and you definitely are at least compared to her. On the plus side, sheâs always snuggling up to you or holding your hand or otherwise trying to leech heat. On the downside, it feels like someone dropped an icicle down your shirt in the middle of a nice cuddle sesh. You try to bite back your shivers as her hands find their way around you. All you can do is hold her closer and cover you both up in another blanket. Not bad for a brush with Death.
Hey! Positive life update: Finally got a new job! While there will be more working hours, I won't spend every hour not at work desperately putting in applications and writing cover letters lol. So thank you everyone for your patience and hopefully I should be able to finish up requests faster going forwards!
I still can't get over the fact that the creators of The Boys TV show think superheroes are fascist.
Superheroes were made largely by Jewish people, many of whom fled antisemitic persecution. American Superheroes fought the Nazis before the real America join the war. Superheroes are vigilantes who use their strength to protect the weak.
I definitely understand what you're saying, and appreciate this point. I think a lot of the people who claim that superheroes are fascist are looking at things a bit superficially. Superheroes have highly antifascist origins, and on a very literal level were invented to oppose German fascism.
However, they also have some bones that could then be taken in a fascist direction, such as the idea of an Ubermensch leading the masses, patriotism, violent anti-crime policies, vigilante violence, etc. This is not to say that superheroes are inherently fascist but rather that they have the potential to be misused in this capacity.
Frank Miller is one of the most famous and influential names in comics who in many ways created the rise in violent fascistic and anti-heroes in the late 80s and 90s such as his take on Batman and the Punisher (not exclusive to Frank Miller). Ironically, Garth Ennis's take on the Punisher is both heavily inspired by Frank's work with Batman but taking it up a notch and his work with the Boys is largely an extension of this project. This emphasis that both Ennis and Miller place on the idea of an "invasive social degeneracy" that is coddled by weak liberal elites and can only be solved via violent vigilantes is highly reminiscent of fascist ideas. And uses the same language that is used to rally far right young men into radical terrorist organizations.
While they both tend to justify this language by making the opposition to their fascist Macho Men be the most extreme forms of evil they can imagine (usually pedophilia) they sometimes show their asses, such as the extreme Islamaphobia of Miller in Holy Terror or that the main moral flaw of Jack from Jupiter that supposedly puts him on par with the rest of the team is having sex with transgender women.
And that's just modern comics, Steve Ditko who is one of the biggest figures in Marvel comics alongside Stan Lee is a hardcore Randian Objectivist who regularly shares while not fascist, but fairly anti-humanist, pro-authority opinions. Besides the same "Great Man protecting the pathetic, stupid, selfish masses" that all super hero stories fall into a little bit, he often depicts protestors in a consistently bad light, and in his Mr. A stories where he had complete creative control would say all criminals and criminal enablers (i.e. people who disagreed with him) should die. While not explicitly, specifically fascist, these are highly extremist and right-wing ideas that speak to the same driving forces of fascism, this idea of a socially degenerate parasite class that must be eliminated.
These are three of some of the most influential figures in comics and not only do their stories and characters have roots in fascism but the hundreds of stories and characters inspired by their work also have these echoes of fascism. Once again, I think it's extremely disingenuous and unfair to say that all superheroes are fascist. That ignores both their origins and the countless talented and passionate writers and artists who have strived to tell fantastic stories about helping people and kindness and equality and justice, who are just as influential. The superhero is no more fascist than the movie monster or Noir Detective or any other broad archetype.
That said, in the long history of superheroes, there have been many times that this archetype has been used to spread fascist and far-right ideas. And these are some of the most mainstream and well-known interpretations of the archetype, including the very story that the Boys creators are adapting. So it is a worthwhile and justified criticism of the archetype and I believe they are doing a decent job discussing it, and using the archetype as a vehicle to tell a broader political message.
Hi there. I have a writing request, if you have time. Specifically for Norman/Otto from the Spiderman PS game. They have *history* and I'd love a ficlet of the time their relationship disintegrated over ethics and they break-up (with a lot of feelings still left on both sides). Angst really isn't my strong suit so perhaps you can provide?
Settling - Octogoblin Angst - 2.4K words
((Thank you so much for this request! Those two are my favorite Divorced Couple and I love the PS4 version of them. Thereâs so many layers and so much history to their relationship. Neither of them is a perfect person and they bring out the worst in each other. I love angst and arguments so this was really fun lol. I hope you enjoy it!
Dr. Octaviusâs chest shuddered as he tried to steady his breathing. His hands folded over each other as he hung his head as low as possible. As if he just curled up far enough heâd be able to disappear entirely. God what he wouldnât give to just disappear. Any time he closed his eyes, the afterburn of the light reminded him of the fluorescent blood splatters that had coated nearly the entire lab. And the screamsâŚhe didnât need to speak the language to understand the terror in their voices. He should have done something. But he couldnât have done anything, Norman had stopped him. He knew the man was desperate but he never thought heâd do something so stupid.
âYou look like you could use a drink.â An uncharacteristically-soft but still familiar voice came from behind him. Otto flinched away from the feeling of a hand on his shoulder. He hadnât heard the man come in, too lost in thought to really register anything around him. Norman leaned against the work-desk across from where Otto was sitting. A brandy decatur rested on the table beside him, the time for drinking from glasses clearly having passed. He took a sip and fruitlessly tried to smooth back where his hair was beginning to frizz out. âWe won by the way. No thanks to you.â
âWon?â
âOf course we won. Kidâs public defender couldnât even be bothered to pay for a translator. If anything the settlement was more generous than it needed to be. If he plays his cards right he should be set for life.â
âHeâs an orphan, Norman. No amount of money changes that.â
âAnd I suppose thatâs my fault too? How could I have possibly predicted that he would turn into- that he would become- whatever that was.â
âBut you didnât know! Thatâs the whole point!â Otto stood up and closed the distance between them, âYou didnât know what the virus would do, but you did it anyway! How many times did I tell you it wasnât ready? If you had just listened-!â
âIf I had listened to you the boy would be dead. With us having spent years fussing over every little detail before even testing the damn thing. He didnât have time to wait.â
âYou mean you didnât have time to wait.â
Normanâs face dropped from its dismissive annoyance into an utterly expressionless mask. Otto hated that face. Even Normanâs anger was better than when he wasnât Norman at all. âWhat do you mean by that?â His tone is flat but as cold and caustic as solid CO2.
âI know this is about Emily.â
âOh? Is it? Is there something about me attempting to cure my dying wife that you find unacceptable?â
âNorman- Arrgh! Youâre twisting my words. I hate when you do this! You know thatâs not-â
âI should have known thatâs what this was about.â Norman chuckled but there wasnât a trace of humor in it, âChrist, youâre pathetic. Anyone ever tell you, you get real cruel when youâre feeling sorry for yourself?â
Ottoâs hands tightened into fists at his side as he let out a shuddery breath. Norman was just deflecting. He was just saying whatever he could think of to make him upset, that way he wouldnât have to actually defend his actions. âThis isnât about her.â
âYou canât even say her name can you?â
Otto raised his voice, trying to speak over him, ignoring the jab, âThis is about you being reckless-â
âNo Otto. You brought her up. You made it about Emily. So let's talk about Emily. I was very honest with you from the beginning about what I needed and what I could and couldnât do. You promised me you wouldnât do this.â
âI know. I know what I said. I know I canâtâŚâ Canât give him a family. Can never be his husband. âGive you what you want.â He understood that. Really, he did. When Norman and him first started this, whatever this was, nearly a decade ago, he had understood it would have to come to an end. Theyâd never be able to make a name for themselves if they couldnât at least pretend to be straight. Heâd even understood when Norman had suggested staying together in secret while they both pursued other relationships that could provide them cover or in Normanâs case, a chance at fatherhood. Heâd understood that and hadnât minded all the sneaking around and playing the best friend. And he could have lived his whole life like that, if it was just a cover. But it wasnât. Norman had gone and fallen in love with her.
And the worst part is, he couldnât even hate her for it. She was too much of a damned saint. He couldnât blame Norman for falling in love with her, in another life, he might have too. She was brilliant, there was no denying that, and maybe even more admirably, she was passionate. She was always thinking of new ways to heal the world. Not only as a scientist but as a humanitarian. In a lot of ways, she reminded him of Norman when theyâd first met. Back when Oâscorp was going to bring humanity into the future, before the company had swallowed him whole. She was perfect and heâs justâŚfamiliar. Nostalgic maybe. A habit Norman canât quit.
âYou are what I want. Damn it Otto!â He groaned and rubbed his hands over his face before closing the distance. He rested his hands on the others shoulders, as if doing so would force him to stay but still unwilling to pull him any closer. âI care about you, and I want you in my life. But I also have a family to consider. I love all of you, and I donât want to lose her or you. You have to understand the position Iâm in.â
âI understandâŚâ Otto swallowed the lump in his throat. He understood perfectly.
Norman sighed in relief, âThank you. I just donât know what Iâll do if sheâŚâ
âSheâs not going to die. That Iâm sure of.â He pulled away from Normanâs hands in order to put his own on his shoulders. âYou have some of the greatest minds in the world working here. I know youâll manage to find a cure.â
âWeâll find a cure.â
âNoâŚâ Otto steeled every nerve in his body screaming at him to stop. To think about what he was doing. To think about what he was throwing away. He couldnât say no to Norman. He never said no to Norman. He needed to stop before he said something he couldnât take back. Stop. Stop. STOP. But no. He couldnât stop. Heâd made up his mind when heâd heard the boy wailing for the mother and father that were splattered across his face. âNo. Youâll find a cure. Iâm leaving the company.â
âWhat?â Norman wrenched away from him, âYou canât leave. Why would you leave? Is this about Emily?â
âI already told you. This isnât about her. This is about your complete disregard for any sort of procedure. You went behind my back to do the first human trial of a medical procedure that wasnât even approved for animals. The fact that you would do something so monumentally stupid and selfish and reckless andâŚandâŚâ He could forgive a lot of things. He could forgive the cruelty and the ego and all the little ways that Norman drove him absolutely insane. But at the end of the day- âI just canât trust you anymore. I donât like where youâre taking Oâscorp, and I wonât have my name dragged down with it.â
Norman reached out to him again but he stepped back, maintaining a distance, âYouâre one of our lead scientists. Even if you hate me, think of what it would do to the company. Your talent would be wasted anywhere else, and our grants would be wasted on anyone other than you.â
Pins pricked at Ottoâs chest and at the corners of his eyes. Of course heâd have to threaten to leave before Norman would dole out a scrap of validation. He couldnât deny it had an effect on him. The part of him that was still a scholarship student, craving the praise and attention of his peer despite hating him for being everything he wasn't, called out to him, begged him to reconsider. That he needed this. Needed Norman. That without him he was nothing. Well, theyâd have to see about that, but heâd be less than nothing if he stayed. âI canât be a part of thisâŚWhatever this company is becoming. I want to help people. I wanted to fix the world with you. But you only care about yourself.â
A flash of genuine hurt crossed his features, âDo you really think so low of me?â
âIâŚâ Yes? No. Maybe? âI have to go.â
Norman pulled away from him, straightening up as his face dropped into one of cold indifference, âFine. But understand if this is what you want, youâll be doing this on your own. Youâll have to find a new source of funding.â
Otto rolled his eyes, âObviously.â
âAlright. Iâll schedule a time for you to meet with the legal team to discuss your settlement. All further communication will be going through the companyâs legal team and a representative of your choosing.â
âWhat settlement?â
Otto could make out the slightest twitch of a smile before Norman quickly turned away, âDonât worry, Dr. Octavius. You will be compensated for your time and effort on Oscorpâs projects. In exchange you will turn over all current research and prototypes to the company, with the understanding that any and all use of previous studies or patented prototypes would be in violation of the non-compete clause in your contract.â
âWhat? What are you talking about? Thatâs my research!â
âItâs Oscorpâs research. Gained from studies conducted by you but under Oscorpâs roof, with Oscorp funds, with Oscorp technology, with test subjects compensated by Oscorp.â He looked at Otto and this time he couldnât hide the slight smirk, âYouâre a smart man Otto, do I really need to keep going?â
âYouâŚYou canât do this!â All his workâŚYears of his life that heâd dedicated to this company. It would be like it never happened. So much time wasted. He knew it would be difficult to start over, but to have to abandon everything heâd been working on. It would set him back years, maybe even decades if he couldnât find another sponsor. Would he even be able to work in the same field? He hadnât even looked into the extent of any non-compete clauses. It hadnât mattered because this company was supposed to be his. He and Norman had built it together. It was supposed to be their legacy. âThis company is as much mine as it is yours! I have a right to my own research! Iâll sue you!â
âYouâll lose, Octavius. Just like always~ You think you know the law better than my people? Be smart and take the settlement.â
The faux sympathy in his tone strummed at Ottoâs raw nerves. Heâd seen this monster before, but it had never been directed at him. He knew there was only one way this story ended. âAnd what if I go to the press?â
âAnd tell them what? That you signed a perfectly legal contract that only now isnât fair? Or maybe you intend to break an iron-clad NDA in which case you and anyone who reports what you say will be slapped with a lawsuit so fast your heads will spin.â Norman stepped into his space again and Otto fought the urge to back away. He cringed at the glint of mania in the eyes of the man he thought was his best friend, wincing as he punctuated his sentences with a poke to the chest. âYouâve never had what it takes to run this business. Itâs always been mine. While you wasted my time and money with your little projects, Iâve been the one keeping the lights on. I was the one going to the meetings and talking to the investors you considered yourself above. I was the one who put up the funds to build this company and itâs my name on every piece of paperwork because you couldnât be bothered to properly patent anything. I was the one who insisted you were a good candidate for any project youâve ever gotten the privilege of working on. And I was the one who gave you a way out from your destiny of utter anonymity and youâre not as smart as I gave you credit for if you think I canât put you right back.â
Otto wanted to scream. He wanted to hurt him. His mind ran a thousand miles a minute with the things he wanted to say. Every little insecurity. Everything Norman had ever dared be vulnerable about, which admittedly wasnât much. He wanted to dig a needle inside him so precisely that no matter what he did, he wouldnât ever be able to claw it out. He could swear his ears were ringing and heâd never hated anyone more than he did in this moment. Well, maybe. He could swear, just barely audible over the pounding of his heart, he could hear his mother's cruel snarl. Look what you did! This is all your fault! Whyâd you have to be so mean? Youâre just like him. âWeâll see about that. For the sake of professionalism, this should probably be our last meeting. Iâll go and collect my personal effects from my office and will be speaking with the legal team soon.â
He kept his head up but didnât look towards Norman again as he collected his things and made his way towards the door. As he went to leave, a voice called out from behind him and he hated the way he almost perked up at the sound before he crashed back to reality, âYouâre welcome to come crawling back anytime, O.â He didnât even dignify him with a pause before closing the door on that chapter of his life. Starting over was hard but it wouldnât be the first time heâd had to re-envision the future he planned for himself. And this time he wouldnât let anyone else take it away.
𼰠This was incredible! The bitter recriminations where its obvious they're learnt from close association which topics are the most painful to press! The perfect characterisation with Norman's self-centred pride still tinged with loyal dedication and Otto's blend of intellectual egotism tempered by inherent questions of self-worth. Its so easy to see how intimate they were and how that's been chipped away over the years.
This is so precisely what I wanted đ˘ The heart-wrenching angst of a partnership driven apart until its turned to hate. So clear why they fight each other with such barbed accusations and bitterness. I absolutely love it! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for the detailed reply! It's the best feeling in the world when someone sees/acknowledges what you were going for. I'm really glad you liked it! You definitely made my week!

I'd love to try! Though I'll admit I've only read a few Sandman comics (Season of Mists, A Dream of 1000 Cats, A Game of You) as well as The Devil in the Gateway (the Mike Carey Lucifer spinoff) and the Bill Willingham Thesaly spinoff. I've also watched the show, but I'm not sure how accurate those interpretations are considered. Also, I don't know if I could do Neil Gaiman's writing justice lol, but I'm happy to give it a shot if those facts aren't dealbreakers for you.
OMG it was so nice to read about your blog! I'm on my knees praying to you like a god for some Polka-dot man x reader headcanons. preferably romantic or smut (whatever you feel comfortable writing) I just wanna give him the love he deserves <3

So Iâm not going to get too into the weeds of how you guys got together because I already covered that in OT3 fic. But suffice is to say that itâs gotta be slow-burn friends to lovers 30k words 40 chapters. So when you finally do start dating youâre already pretty comfortable with each other. In a lot of ways that makes things easy. But knowing when to take it slow and how exactly to transition your relationship from a platonic one to a non-platonic one takes time. You spend the first week or so dancing around each other trying to bait the other into making first moves, like him nudging his hand against yours during a movie, or you leaning in so you can âget rid of an eyelashâ. Eventually he breaks and asks to hold your hand and you both hopefully learn that you have to use your words to get what you want!
Living with the virus outside Belle Reeves is difficult. He canât go more than six hours before the initial symptoms start to show. There's very few safe places for him to expel his dots without major property damage. The safest option, albeit not the most environmentally friendly, is a backyard or a private place in a local park. Anywhere where large amounts of matter can be displaced with little damage to infrastructure. Maybe you can cut a deal with the city's waste management department lol. There's also the physical side effect. As much as he desperately wants to fit in, it can be hard when there's a big glowing hazard sign threatening to burst out of his face. It can make going out in public anxiety-producing, which doesnât help anything. He was given a more subtle power dampening collar as part of his parole. This helps him sleep through the night but comes with its own unpleasant side effects like headaches and nausea. Not to mention that any sort of medical equipment or restraints are mildly triggering. Like a lot of chronic/long term medical problems, there's no easy fix, you just have to establish care plans, stick to what works and try to be patient when things don't work out.
For related and unrelated reasons, dates can be kind of hard. So many years of only seeing the same four walls until eventually seeing a different same four walls have left him desperate for any and every experience he can. But that can easily swing back the other direction, leaving him overstimulated from all of the noise and bright lights and people all bearing the face that haunts him. He wants to do all the things he could only read about in books or watch on TV when he was younger. He wants to try new foods and go to new places and just have fun for once. But sometimes itâs just too much, especially in particularly loud, crowded, or otherwise overwhelming places. And then that leads to a new wave of frustration and anxiety because he wants so badly to do normal couple things with you but it feels like he always ruins it. He doesnât of course but itâs hard to not feel frustrated. Though that isnât to say there aren't plenty of fun things to do together, you just have to work your way up to the big stuff. His favorite date youâve been on was probably the trip to the aquarium. It was so beautiful and peaceful! Although he did insist that you just move on past the Echinoderm exhibit. Also fun pseudo/at-home dates include Mystery Meal Nights in which you try to find a new take-out place or at least a new food from one of the classics. And, while he wonât instigate it, he does really like dancing with you. He likes it in general, but unless heâs mildly to majorly drunk he wonât dance in public. So you can have little living room dance parties with just the two of you~ He doesnât dance particularly well, but that just makes it more fun. Dance comes from the heart and that, he has plenty of.
So sort of paralleling the sensory issues Iâve already mentioned. He is simultaneously extremely touch-starved and desperate for affection, but will also sort of out of nowhere get touched-out and just kind of need space. For the first half of his life he was pretty much exclusively around family, and then was put into solitary for most of the rest of it. And now he has you! Someone he loves so so much and wants to hug and kiss and cuddle and all the other things boyfriends are supposed to do. Sometimes itâs just still too foreign and overwhelming, although the longer you two date, the easier it gets and the less often these moments occur. But on the flipside, when he does feel touchy, he might as well be made of Velcro. Every time you cross a new line of acceptable relationship behavior (hand-holding, kissing, etc.), he just adds that to the list of things heâs constantly trying to do. Sometimes heâs just so happy it doesnât feel real, like heâs going to wake up and it will all be some crazy dream. Nothing in his real life could actually be this nice. He doesnât articulate it when he feels like that, but youâll know it by the way his breath shudders when he holds you close, or he holds you extra tight, murmuring an apology in your ear but not letting go. Not yet. Just in case.

So related to the above, that touch starvation definitely translates sexually. While he eventually mellows out, especially early on in the relationship there's a sort of barely restrained desperation in everything he does. He doesn't ever instigate or suggest something new but the second you suggest or okay something he jumps on it. He just doesn't want to scare you off or push you, even if you want him just as badly. Whenever you're making out, he tries to press as close to you as humanly possible. His kisses are uncoordinated and a little sloppy but his eagerness is sexy in its own right. He's just been so pent up with no outlet or even privacy until now. And he was pining after you for so long. Can you blame him for trying to make up for lost time?
This man is sooooo desperate to please. He's just head over heels in love with you. You've brought so much joy and love to his life, he wants to show you how much he loves and appreciates you. (At a less sexy time, it'd probably be good to talk with him about that feeling of debt and how you love him for who he is, not what he can do for you. But thatâs a whole other demon.) So that being said, heâs pretty flexible. While heâs not exactly adventurous, he is open to suggestions. If you want him to take charge, heâll do his best! Or heâs happy to follow instructions and let you take the lead. Service-Vers. Though, while heâd never ask for it because pleasing you is at the forefront, heâd really enjoy getting to be a pillow prince every once in a while. Just smothered in affection while you take care of everything and spoil him. Heâd probably die of happiness.
To be perfectly honest, heâs pretty vanilla. But thatâs not a bad thing! He likes gentle, romantic love-making in a bed with the lights dimmed. While heâs not opposed, per say, to trying something new every once in a while, he doesnât really need anything other than you to make him happy. No matter how many times you two have sex it never gets old or feels less special. If anything it just gets better the more familiar and comfortable he becomes with your body and his own. He likes missionary best but is also a fan of really any position where he can hold you close and see/kiss your face. The one sort of kink he has is praise, though Iâd argue everyone likes praise a little. Please tell him how heâs doing and how good youâre feeling. That heâs handsome and good and most of all: that you love him~ He never gets tired of hearing you say it~
Reader likes Wonder Woman, she's strong and beautiful, and has great thighs.

âYou know, you wonât get much use out of training if you donât at least try to fight back.â Diana chuckles.
âI am trying! You have super strength, itâs an unfair fight!â You squirm against the full Nelson the Amazon is holding you in, squeezing your eyes shut against the glare of the Wonderdomeâs pristine marble. The two of you often escape up here when she craves an escape from the extraordinary stresses of being Wonder Woman on top of the day to day stresses of being Diana Prince. The downside is that you can rarely pass by the training grounds without being dragged into an impromptu self defense lesson.
âIâve taught you how to escape this. Itâs a matter of leverage and flexibility. Strength just helps.â Okay, well, admittedly you aren't trying your hardest. Not that she canât easily overpower you without breaking a sweat. But you just tend to linger in the holds longer than you probably need to. It isnât out of a desire to be closer to her. There is no shortage of physical affection with Diana around. Even before you two becameâŚwell something more than friends she was all too eager to pull you into a hug, give you a sportsmanly pat on the butt on, or playfully punch you on the arm (leaving a bruise for a few weeks) And now that you are distinctly a something, there is hardly ever a desire unfulfilled, even if you usually have to tap out when exhaustion threatens to make you if you donât.
Still, this is something you arenât really sure how to address with her. She is always very straightforward with you, something you admire but it's a favor you sometimes struggle to return. Youâve always admired her physically, both romantically and purely objectively. She's a giant at 6â7â, strong and muscular and powerful in a way that is almost hard to imagine if you couldnât see it with your own eyes. But youâd realized after the first few play-wrestling matches that your admiration went beyond platonic, and once you became a couple you realized maybe the wrestling in particular wasnât purely for fun or training. The effortless way she can restrain you, arms bracketing your head or legs bracing yours sent blood rushing to your face, and not just due to limited oxygen.
She is just too beautiful! It isnât fair! And the idea of telling her is just too embarrassing! Not that she's a shrinking violet, she'd probably understand. But while she speaks many languages of âMan's Worldâ fluently, sometimes the cultural stuff still gets lost in translation. It doesnât help that you arenât entirely sure what you want, or at least when it comes to articulating it you're at a loss for words. But you know you want to be restrained, specifically around the head and specifically by her legs. God her legs. Her thighs~ How are you supposed to cope? She's so effortlessly confident and comfortable in her own skin. The last thing you want to do was make her uncomfortable even if you knew sheâd be a good sport about it.
You feel the arms around your head slacken, âAre you alright, my friend?â
âOf course, sorry! Lost in thought.â You duck and tilt your hips to the side, âSo move out and put the leg behind right?â You go to sweep the leg as youâd been taught but unlike in the usual drills, sheâs unyielding. She releases the hold but not you, as she turns you to face her, hands on your waist, keeping you close. Her hands are strong but her expression is nothing but gentle.
âItâs alright if youâre ready to stop for the day, but if somethingâs troubling you I would hope you know you can tell me?â
You canât help but flush and avert your eyes from the sheer sincerity in hers. âIâm fine. Itâs nothing really.â
Her tone is level but firm, âIs this a secret you intend on keeping or should I press further?â
Once again youâre grateful for her understanding. She can easily make you tell the truth, the lasso at her waist would make sure of that. But she promised to never use it against you, with obvious exceptions including mind control, evil clones, or evil alternate yous from another dimension. You never can be too sure when dating a superhero. Still, sometimes it's easier to be honest with a little push, something she also understands. âI canât say it.â
âCanât or donât want to?â
You hold up your wrists, âCanât.â
She chuckles, and releases a foot or so from the Lasso of Truth, just enough to wrap around your wrists, âNow lets see if your tongue is more free~ What is it thatâs on your mind?â
âI want you to squeeze my head with your thighs!â Even after the compulsion is fulfilled it all comes tumbling out, âYouâre justâŚyouâre so pretty and beautiful and your thighs are insane. And I just. I like it when youâre stronger than me and I canât quite escape. And I like feeling your muscles flex and-â
âAlright, I believe I understand.â She chuckles and reels the rope back to her waist, âAlthough you simply could have told me.â
You hide your head in her chest, âI knoooow. It just felt⌠I donât know.â
âSex and wrestling are both deeply carnal and exhilarating experiences. Itâs not a surprise at all that perhaps the lines between the two would blur. Itâs actually quite common on Themyscira for a truly excellent match to escalate to-â
âOkay I get the point. I get the point.â
âWould you like to try it now?â
âNow?â
âWhy not? Weâre alone.â She sits down, spreading her legs slightly as the pleats of her skirt fall around the peaks of her thighs.
âHere?â
âWould this require a bed? I didnât think your head would touch the ground. Besides, this is just a trial. If you enjoy yourself, perhaps we can extend it further next time. Now come here.â She pats her leg and you drop to your knees, crawling between her legs.
âThank you.â
She kisses your forehead gently before cupping your head and pulling you into a quick but heated kiss. She pulls back, âNow, Iâm afraid Iâm not exactly sure what you want? Is it just to-â she trailed her sentence off by squeezing her thighs around your waist. Even though you can tell sheâs being playful, itâs more than a little hot.
âEr, itâd probably be easier if I just-â You shuffle down, resting the very edge of your head against her pelvis, right at the apex of her thighs. You wrap her legs around you over your shoulders like a particularly buff boa. âAnd then uh, just, sort of squeeze?â She flexes slightly, thick and firm thighs enclosing your head but not much pressure being applied. âYou can do it a little harder, I mean, if you want?â Her knees instantly tighten like a vice around your throat and you feel the blood rush to your head. Itâs just on the edge of painful, but itâs only pressure, your lungs are still able to receive a limited, but sufficient amount of air. She quickly releases you.
âLike that? You didnât specify how long I was to hold it.â
âYeah~â Youâre not sure if itâs the lack of oxygen or the fantasy coming true but you feel like a dime-store heroine about to swoon. âJust sort of hold it. I might touch your legs if thatâs okay? Iâll tap your arm if I really want you to stop.â
âAlright.â She closes her thighs around your head again and you relax into the firm pressure enclosing you. She's so warm, and you could feel the muscles of her thighs twitch and flex against your cheeks as she occasionally readjusts or experiments on her own behalf. You look back to catch her eye and she shoots you a smile before squeezing harder. You canât help but gasp as the air leaves your lungs but you donât tap. Instead, you reach up to massage her thighs, kneading the hard muscle. Although she isnât exerting enough strength for you to really notice any place where the muscles usually would have tensed. You can feel your heart pounding in your ears as the blood floods to your face. Right as you think you might have to give, she relents. âIâll admit, this is more fun than I would have guessed.â
âGlad youâre enjoying yourself~â you weakly chuckle and press a kiss to her inner thigh.
âOf course. Though Iâm afraid I may have to cut things short in favor of a more participatory experience.â
âOh?â Before you can ask any further questions she slips out from under you. You manage to catch your head before it collides with the marble floors. Thatâs all the reaction time youâre allotted though before those perfect thighs straddle your head again. She looks down at where youâre utterly pinned beneath her.
âIf you insist on neglecting your combat training, perhaps another kind is in order.â
Polkadot man Ă male reader Ă Captain Boomerang ot3 hcs pls? :3
((Based on them both being here, I assume both of them have been in the Suicide Squad/youâre going by their Suicide Squad version (Polka Dot Man doesnât really have a character otherwise lmao). Usually though, unless a specific version is clarified, Iâm just going to wing it.))
Getting Together Headcanons:
As you probably guessed, Digger is the one to make the first of any kind of move. Member of the squad, agent, hero, villain, man, woman, nonbinary, it doesnât matter. If he thinks youâre cute, he doesnât even ask your name before making sure youâre very aware that he does. Did you stand still long enough for him to approach? Congrats! Youâre just his type! His sexual orientation would best be described as: Buzzard. Please make him work for it a bit, if for no other reason than his ego will become utterly unbearable otherwise. Heâs cute but if those cheesy pick up lines actually get him your number heâs going to use them anytime he wants something (usually to get out of helping with a chore.)
While the relationship starts out really casual, if youâre willing to listen to him chat you up and down and brag about that time he almost (not even close) beat the Flash, well then heâs throwing you over his shoulder for a shotgun Elvis-Officiated wedding. Thereâs no reason to wait, you have to live each day like your last, literally in his case. Although heâs on parole now, he could be dragged back to some near-death mission or just arrested at any time. No matter how long youâre together youâll never fully keep him out of trouble. He just loves it too much!
With Abner, itâs sort of the opposite, it takes a lot of time for you two to form first, a close friendship, and then slooooowly working your way up to a romantic relationship. Thereâs a lot of trauma there, and on top of that, almost thirty years of mental illness and unhealthy coping mechanisms developed to survive that trauma. So yeah, itâs a bit of a nonstarter for a while. But he does crave companionship, having been without it most of his life. So if youâre willing to be patient and understanding and work within his comfort zone, he quickly starts to open up (maybe a bit too much but youâre glad he feels safe enough to overshare?) Once he starts to see you as a safe person and a friend, itâs easier for him to physically see you as an individual and allow himself to look at you. The real you. And once he sees youâŚwell, itâs hard for him not to catch feelings.
Thereâs not really much internalized homophobia to work through, if only because heâs always been an outcast, in his mind, whatâs one more thing? Youâre the first person to really be nice to him. How can it be wrong to pursue this? It takes him ages to express his feelings to you, and finding out about your thing with Digger just sets him back months of progress. He definitely spends about a weekend thinking about a way to kill him, before ultimately resigning himself for a lifetime of loneliness. Luckily, you notice whatâs wrong and ask him about it. It doesnât take much for all the bottled up feelings to come bursting out (possibly accompanied by dots.) Itâs real emotional all around and you admit to returning his feelings and that, while you still want to be in a relationship with Digger, there might be a solution that can work for everyone.
I wonât lie, neither of them is super thrilled about the idea of an open relationship, well, Digger kinda likes it in theory but why him? Itâs not so much that either of them are opposed to the idea, theyâd never really thought about it before. Digger hadnât been in many committed relationships that required actually discussing boundaries and Abner never thought heâd be in a relationship, let alone one and a half of one. I do think you have to start as more of a V than a triangle. They just really rub each other the wrong way. Abner thinks Digger's annoying and rude and Digger thinks heâs a âcreepy lilâ cunt.â It also sort of brings out their insecurities whether they acknowledge it or not. They each thrive where the other falls short. Neither can see what you see in the other but they both love you and want desperately to try and make things work even if it means -ugh- spending time with each other.
But eventually, as they watch each other interact with you, they get to see the version of the other that you see. Digger can be sweet when he wants to be (or wants something.) Abner is capable of cracking a joke about once a month. Maybe they arenât completely unbearable. And if you like them, how bad can they be? And what was a begrudging truce slowly blossoms into something more, even if theyâre both a little too emotionally constipated to actually put it into words.
General Relationship Headcanons:
I hope you enjoy your scary and small but ferocious dog privilege. Both of them know how much they hit the jackpot and when theyâve finally stopped fighting each other over you, they become a very protective team. (Not that you canât hold your own of course.) The Captain is not a particularly jealous guy, if anything it puffs him up a bit knowing everyone else wants what heâs got. Abner, however, is but sometimes lacks the ability to find a middle ground between complete conflict avoidance and murdering an entire room full of people, and the latter would really ruin the night out. Luckily, if Abner asks, Digger is not remotely above making a huge public display of obscene affection and openly challenging anyone in a ten foot radius to fight him about it.
Ideal date for Abner would be a nice night in with good takeout and a bunch of movies. He has so much to catch up on and you two have a list a mile long of things you want to show him. He also has to worry about his condition less, knowing heâll be in the comfort of his home when he needs to excise some energy and he wonât get weird looks like he does when he starts to glow in a public movie theater. Ideal date for Digger: Stealing Renting a roofless luxury car and just driving out into the country. Past the satellite towns of Central City, thereâs nothing but plains where you wonât see another car for miles. He could drive as fast as he wants, without any cops on his case, his boyfriend in the passenger seat (and later, boyfriend two sitting in the back), singing along to each other's favorite songs at the top of their lungs. He doesnât really have anything planned out beyond that but it's what he thinks about while he waits for you two to rangle up bail money.
Cohabiting isâŚa bit of a learning curve. Probably one of the hardest parts of your relationship. Abner wants to be helpful but he spent the first half of his life in a lab and the rest in the psych ward of a maximum security penitentiary. Heâs literally never had to keep track of the sort of basic things that go into keeping a household running. The idea that if he wants something, he can have it, but he has to do it himself. Heâs never cooked for himself, chose his own clothes, or even had agency over his own schedule. Every minute of his day had always been accounted for, and while poorly, his most basic needs were taken care of for him at Belle Reeves. So you have to teach/remind him of a lot of the things that may not occur to you to tell someone. But you get to learn it together! And learning/trying out new recipes or teaming up on a chore can be fun in its own way. At least heâs willing to learn. Digger isâŚa bit more work. He has lived alone for a long time, but unsupervised. Be prepared for a lot of âWhat do you mean you have to wash towels? Ainât the point of a shower that youâre clean at the end?â Or melted plastic in your nice new dishwasher. It wouldnât be so bad if he would just listen and wasnât so stubborn about his way working just fine. Heâs just a bit set in his ways and itâs hard to get him used to a new routine, set of standards, and just generally living with other folks. But heâll always come around in the end. ;)
