03.28.21 | I’m posting this a little later than usual but that’s because I’m having my weekly recaps go up on Sundays from now on. Let’s see how long I can stick to it, if at all. So I had my midterm exam on the 19th & it could have gone better, but I didn’t allow myself to dwell on it too much. I always find myself deep in self-reproach whenever I study really hard (to the point of confidence sometimes) but don’t get the results I want, yet when I do get those results I attribute it to pure luck & dismiss my hard work. It’s a vicious & incredibly draining cycle. I’m trying to break it little by little, & what’s currently helping is taking my mind off it.
Along with the self-deprecating thoughts, external, concrete things kept me company. I bought flowers & placed them around the house. The two books I ordered also arrived which was exciting (there’s an unboxing video on my bookstagram’s highlights). The last time I bought a physical book was in December of 2019 I think. I know it seems like an incredibly long time ago, but it doesn’t feel that way to me because I personally don’t buy books that often. Not out of prudence! My family has a considerable collection, most of which I haven’t read, & I’ve been making my way through them so buying books just doesn’t feel necessary. I still do it, of course, but I’m just not impulsive with it I guess. Makes every purchase more exciting though.

self-care for quarantine 2021
Hi, it’s werelivingarts! My school was shut down once last year, and I recognize that both of mental and physical health got much worse (staying up over midnight and eating so much unhealthy food). I took me almost a semester back in face-to-face school to cope with normal flow again. ☺️
Now my country is having another school shut down, I’m going back to virtual learning and I’m determined to be better than last year (yes, it’s the second year of COVID-19 now). Above is a list of things I want to remind myself in quarantine, and I want to share it with you all too!
Stay safe and healthy, wear mask and sanitize your hands frequently! ❤️💙💜

“Do you think the universe fights for souls to be together? Some things are too strange and strong to be coincidences.”

I’ve said this before but: I love this kind of summer-autumn morning light. It is especially good on a Sunday morning when there’s nothing to do but drink coffee, read a good book, make plans or cancel them all to lie on the rug and listen to music and watch the dust in it.
photos like these pursuades and excites me to live alone.
Officially done with my first semester as a second year student. It's such a fulfilling feeling to get up early in the morning not to start on school works, but to relax and get some sunshine on my face. Now, crossing my fingers for good grades.
I hope you are all doing great. Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas! 🥳🎄

I realized that I worked better with natural light and so I moved my desk near the door of our study room. This is how it looks like around 7 am in the morning. It's so pretty. Gets me motivated to wake up early and get things done.
Reblog if it’s okay to befriend you, ask questions, ask for advice, rant, vent, let something off your chest, or just have a nice chat.
