A sigh was exhaled as Robin conceded, lowering her hand from his face down to play with a seam on his shirt absentmindedly as she spoke, expression seeming thoughtful yet slightly frustrated. “I’m curious as to what they themselves are hiding. Coming from a place like that is bound to wrap one up in things wanting to be kept secret beyond imagine.”
Dusky eyes found his own slate gaze then. “Important or not we need to keep an eye on them, and don’t let your guard down. No matter how polite or kind they seem-” Certain new passengers came to mind. “We must remember that anyone can be an enemy at any time.”
Robin found herself sharing with him knowledge that had kept her alive for years, which in itself was a trusting gesture. Then, she paused as if debating on what to say before speaking once more.
“-Have you sensed something off about the tall and bulky ones as well?”
Her Haki had picked up on it after they had boarded, and the Devil Child had yet to mention it to anyone until now. “I didn’t want to worry the others, but Its as though they’ve a greater force inside them, like steam fighting to rise from a pressured container… I don’t know what it is, but I we need to watch them especially carefully, and I know I can count on you as well as my Captain to watch my back with this, Law.” Fingers tightened around the cloth unsettledly in it’s grip as though scared to let go for fear of it disappearing.
(‘No matter what I must do, I will protect what is dearest to me.’)
To leave the H E A R T| | So it wasn’t just his own concerns... even her... while most of the Mugiwara pirates put a rather tight strain on the enigmatic, excessive thought processes that generally caused the Shi no Gekai to project forty steps ahead at all given times... this raven-maned beauty was always right there, with him, it was far easier to trust in her judgement, and her words - far few and in between, did Trafalgar Law find a peer within an individual. Someone as paranoid as he, someone... who could rip their beating heart from their chest and shove it directly into another’s grasp, while swearing to them every action was theirs..
Fire and promises, it was difficult to grasp just how similarly they might think. Or, would think, if soft fingertips weren’t gracing his presence with contact, causing that train of thought to lurch on the tracks each and every time the pressure was palpable.
“... They’re Nouryokusha, aren’t they? At least, Braun-ya is, considering Mugiwara-ya saw him transform and hasn’t shut up about it since. Whatever went wrong with that island, I’d guess is what’s wrong with their Devil Fruits, as well.”
Her grip tightened, and he leaned in almost instinctively, breath close enough to heat the velvet lips across from him.
He held her gaze steadily, searchingly - but it was unnecessary, as she shared her thoughts freely.
“They seem a little less stable than Jinrui saikyō-ya, which is pretty bad. Even if they intend to, we don’t have time for them to get in our way, so don’t worry about that, Nico-ya. ... but anything else that might have gotten out... ...weren’t the Marines chasing us, before?“
‘Giantification’ - a supposedly failed series of experimentation performed by the World Government for hundreds of years... they all knew the consequences of delving into such a feat, having seen the children suffering on Punk Hazard. What would the Gorosei do, if they had access to information about those lost tests? In S H A M B L E S |
"Our newest passenger has been through enough without you attempting to scare him. I would expect more maturity from you, Traffy-Kun." -scolds him while resting a hand on his face tbh-

To leave the H E A R T| | That inglorious nickname… from her, in such teasing tones, it could almost seem noble, as a deep-set sigh was expelled from deep within an inked chest, a light tilt of the head denoting that while he wasn’t opposed to her touch, he wasn’t quite fine with being chastised for his antagonism.
“It doesn’t really matter to me what his life was like, Nico-ya. We don’t really have time to mess around… It isn’t as though I can make Dressrosa wait around while Mugiwara-ya takes in every stranded orphan.”
He spoke harshly, but a slight arc to a slender brow gave away that innate wonderment he just couldn’t manage to shove down his own throat.
“… Aren’t you curious? This island has a lot to do with what the World Government is hiding. You think these guys are important?”
The inquiry was almost imploring, as though if the dark-haired beauty also had an interest, he might be allowed to drop some of his own misgivings and impatience on the matter.

To leave the H E A R T| | He knew the beast - in all honesty, he was impressed that the ridiculous looking creature remembered his scent well enough to find him on such awkwardly short notice. He belonged to a man, back then, a boy, only a bit older than him... who would never find out his middle initial, and most likely didn’t even know how the child with Amber Lead Poisoning came to leave the source of the surgeon’s revenge.
There were no qualms with the ‘Bloody Moon’, and yet.. here he was, staring down someone who seemed to have lost, badly, against someone, or something, that obviously meant for her to suffer. He doubted it had been the Dire Zoan, hearing those forced, tired phrases.
The limb in question lay just a bit to the side, it was battered.. but not entirely unsalvageable... so she wanted it back in its proper place? Reasonable, but it was fairly irritating to be blackmailed...
“Just the arm? I can do you one better, but you’ll owe me. You’re... Ironhide-ya, the wanted poster I have hasn’t updated your... recent changes.”
There was little point in speaking, and he had little time... if the blood ceased to flow, it would be far more complicated a procedure. Fallow digits clutched Kikoku at the base of the grip, black metal glinting against a waning sun, ‘DEATH’ faced her, as a palm exploded with a blinding azure light.
( ( “Room.” ) )
A small area designated around them.. so as not to draw attention...
“I don’t know if you can even see or hear me very well, but try not to throw up, it won’t hurt.”
Precise slashes, a broad grip to lavender locks, and her head was severed for a split second, that Seastone collar dropping to the grass, and she was free and whole... His fellow captain would have to pay him back, sometime, for that one, he’d see to it. To retrieve his submarine from the clutches of the distressed monster, now...
“Shambles...”
His Devil Fruit created vacuums, and pockets of space and time that connected by where he cut within his realm of power... to reattach that limb, normally, he would need far more medical equipment and donors. A sliver off the end of the forearm, and a bit off the end of that bloody stump, and she was within his scope of operation, he would simply lift her arm from the ground, and pop it back into place, The splash of the submarine hitting the waves was far too excessive, and the ‘Shi no Gekai’ would turn, nodachi still held loosely within his grip.
“By the way - I don’t know what you’ve been doing, but your blood is stupidly thin, there’s barely anything to it. good luck killing yourself, slowly, Ironhide-ya.”
It would be too troublesome to speak, if he could even talk properly, now, to that ashen-maned idiot, leaving was far preferable.

-Gently touches Law- Yes, this is a good, this is mine.
To leave the H E A R T| | While the possessive inclinations of a feral goat-child were beyond the surgeon, he also knew that there was no ignoring the chimera, lest he find himself in some bizarre, pride-rending circumstance that would only end in tragedy.
As such, he would lean down, both hands pressed under the little monster’s arms, in an attempt to lift the heavy creature akin to how one would carry their toddler a short distance. Despite it being a death sentence in so many regards, the enigmatic captain would place the goat-boy down, once again, right in front of the kitchen, as though making an offering of sorts.
“Go wild, Monk-ya.”
To his crew, and especially his chef, the Shi no Gekai would issue one last apology. In S H A M B L E S |

To leave the H E A R T| | What a ridiculous name... ‘Paradis’, were they just trying to be assholes about it, or did the irony serve as a balm to whatever conscious was left within those who were charged in guarding the devil’s playground?
This tome was old, too old to truly give enough information about the current progress of humanity... it was simply an outline on the experimental priorities of the scientists that were involved. To turn people into giants... to wipe out an entire civilization merely for the sake of indulgence and greed... Did this man’s entire life burn to the ground, as well?
While sentimentality could be offered, that tired, sardonic countenance never shifted from a vaguely amused break in an otherwise passive gaze. That was sure a lot of aggravation.
“That’s a hell of a look, and here I thought I was being hospitable.”
The comment was idle, and he would remain silent the entire time the war-veteran spoke, a single dark brow arcing higher and higher after each phrase. That uniform... it was emblazoned with wings... a bit different than a gull’s, but still enough to cause pause, and denote military ranking.... ‘ ... last order, from the last person....’ ..... so... was this person gone, then? Whose grave is that, in your eyes?
The enigmatic surgeon knew that look well, a final wish, marked by death, there was little else that could make such a feral strength turn its fangs toward something with such intent.
“Good, because I’ve got plans, and you’d just get in the way. You’ve got a good attitude if you intend to continue being a criminal, but my warning is in direct regard to the ‘political climate’. Trafalgar Law - Captain of the Heart Pirates, Mugiwara-ya and I are currently in an alliance.“ In S H A M B L E S |

Happy Birthday Trafalgar Law (Belated)
It’s crept upon us! A special day. I’ve decided to make a more personal tribute - because weirdly, this character also had special meaning to me. October is apparently full of birthdays of those that mean something important to me how odd huh?

To leave the H E A R T| | Worship without kinship - dedicating one’s heart to something barely known.. frustration was the most prominent when surrounded by these ridiculous mafioso-made-pirates. They disliked him, regardless, due to his gall in utilizing the Mugiwara’s strength.... it was certainly a mutual sentiment. Following anything other than an Eternal Pose, there would be unpredictable islands scattered along the way on their voyage - giving them ample time to resupply, mostly for the bottomless pit of a stomach his fellow Supernova possessed. This one, that they currently anchored at, seemed fairly wild, with no signs of humanoid life. Not for one more moment - - An overactive, enigmatic mindset needed time to go over its track, after all.. he hadn’t meant to come this far.. so his plans needed to be re-assessed.... less noise and fewer scathing glances were required. It wasn’t as though they could go anywhere, without his guidance, anyway. With a distinct, silent grace, a foot would press against the rail of the asinine ship, and the lanky form of the Shi no Gekai would lift, and fall, at the same time he spoke - to who, it was uncertain, most likely anyone within hearing range.

The monarch's gaze would fall from speckled hat to shiny boot, before lichfire rose once more in search of yellow eyes. His voice carried the indomitable will of a blizzard wrapped in the imperious arrogance of one born with a silver spoon shoved down his throat. "Go away."
To leave the H E A R T| | Death was - something he toyed with, as such a proficient surgeon - everything he cut wouldn’t die, by his own decree, despite each and every patient subject to his operating room being slated for a grave. The young man himself was awash in it, his eyes hosted more than one massacre survived, his hands less bloody than one would expect, but still dyed such a perfect crimson. - - And he was ran entirely by it, the conductor by which his train of thought could move was a spirit’s maze, each cart’s passenger another familiar face, to which he would bring vengeance for, regardless of the detriment to his own form and psyche. As such, a single, flaming blue gaze did little to dissuade the enigmatic doctor from taking yet another step forward, gold breaking away from above in order to take stock of his environment. It was such a non-nonchalant air, even if every muscle knew to be tensed for action at any moment. He wasn’t stupid, and entirely mortal. At the very least, Trafalgar Law was used to the cold.
“Nah, I’m looking for something. You think you can help me out, Lich King-ya?” In S H A M B L E S |
☕—❝Oi, shitty surgeon. You're... Trafalgar Law, aren't you? That hat matches the rot-awful description I was given, at least. You're supposed to teach me a higher form of medicine. My skills at administering first aid are lackluster, apparently.❞ Stormy eyes surveyed the heights of the pirate's countenance. Within moments, he found common ground in Law's own gaze; it was a graveyard. He reissued a more respectful distance between their minds. ❝...I can wait a little while, if you're busy.❞
To leave the H E A R T| | It wasn’t entirely something foreign, to be sought out for another’s distinct benefit, and the enigmatic ‘Shi no Gekai’ wasn’t one to allow a hint of information to pass him by, especially concerning the more useful individuals that had the potential to pass through the Grand Line. Tourmaline sought out first that dull, dead, dusky blue, only to travel downward, toward build and iconic equipment - that visage was nothing akin to bright-eyed determination in the face of assured evil - but… Wings stitched just about everywhere - - another self righteous military operation lead by the death-mongering superiority of the noble classes parading around as a just government - so this was the Survey Corps.
Oh, how he still detested the Marines, it seemed. A slender brow arced at the request, but that was about the only change in expression, a thin mouth still waging the war of embittered judgement within such a labyrinthine psyche. It had probably been Hiken-ya, who had blabbed about him.
“Jinrui saikyō-ya, I assume. I don’t come recommended by many, and they were idiots for sending you. I’m a pirate, after all~. If there’s nothing in it for me or my crew, I’ve got no reason to help.” In S H A M B L E S |
