I’ve always kinda wondered about these scenes. I kind of expected that Anya’s trauma would be triggered with the phrase “world peace” because that seems to be the reason why the scientists from the facility she was created in would use to justify experimenting on her against her will. So when Twilight said that he needed to understand her for world peace, I expected her to run away or cry as a learned response for survival.
I guess maybe Anya just didn’t sense any evil intentions from Twilight upon meeting him so she assumed he has a different intention for world peace. Or that while the scientists were genuinely working towards world peace, Anya didn’t like the method they were going for to achieve that.
I think the whole Desmond thing is a long way to go so I’m sensing we will have an arc specifically focused on Anya’s background before we get around to the climax of Operation Strix. Out of all the protagonists, I feel like she hasn’t been really shelled out and explored compared to Twilight and Yor. Like all she’s been is being adorable the whole time and Tatsuya Endo has only been giving us little crumbs about her (i.e. New Moon makes her telepathic powers disappear, the macarons make her do really well in Classical Language, and her telepathic powers only work for a certain distance).
It would be interesting to know if Desmond’s political party is behind the science facility that Anya was created in. Like they have been funding those science experiments (hence why he said the comment “It’s impossible to understand strangers.”). So maybe there are all these connection at play that these characters don’t even realize.

okay so i feel like twiyor know they've never really felt sexual attraction before, but it's something they assume will change once they've "found the right person" (like a lot of aces believe when they're struggling to accept their identity). so after twiyor make their relationship real and confess their romantic feelings, they're kinda just... waiting for the sexual feelings to kick in?? loid knows yor has never been in any sort of relationship before so they're quite slow at first to ease her into a relationship. starting with chaste kisses, working their way up to soft make out sessions, etc.
and one night, they've been making out for a while, and given all of loid's past relationships, this type of thing leads to sex. so they start exploring their hands, the kissing turning a little more intentional. but still, neither of them feel that sexual attraction. they think each other is beautiful of course, but they don't look at each others bodies and feel any type of desire to have sex with them, no matter how much they love each other.
so after a little bit, before the kissing can go too far, i think loid would stop and pull back. because this isn't like his honey traps. he doesn't have to do anything to get a certain outcome. if he wants to stop, they can stop. and loid is so shy almost as he explains that it's nothing to do with her, he just doesn't want to go there. he doesn't feel that way about her and he hasn't felt that way about anyone. and yor takes his face in her palm, cuts off his worried rambling and tells him she feels the exact same way. she tells him how she loves cuddling him and kissing him and being with him, but she doesn't want to go any further and she doesn't think that will change with time. and it's such a relief for both of them that they're on the same page about that. so loid just kisses her sweetly and pulls her down to hold her close to his chest and it feels so good having got that off of their chests before they did something they both didn't want to.
i imagine they still love hardcore make out sessions though. that's twiyor's equivalent to sex. also even though neither of them feel sexual attraction nor want to have sex, they both love kissing each others necks and giving the occasional hickies. which is always funny to them because people assume it's from sex but twiyor are like "haha, nope" because they've literally never had sex and don't plan on it
i want to see old men with full beards learning ballet and i want to see terrible art from people in their 30s who have only just got their first tablet and i want to see mothers picking up their old hobbies from before they were told it wasn’t okay to have hobbies and i want to see people in their early 20s figuring out how to be alive by making bad music in their bedrooms and i want zines to be handmade paper pamphlets of devotion and i want creation to be fun again instead of a competition where we all have to monetise joy until we lose the invaluable currency of unashamed love again
Lady Baskerville x Mrs. Asogi (I got this by listening to Vigilante Shit. Originally, I thought this song described Lady B's situation if she left Klint in the aftermath of the Professor case -- but the ex in the song is implied to be a cis woman, which doesn't really suit a storyline where she starts an affair with Genshin...so, why not set her up with Mrs. Asogi in this case? Definately AUish, but I guess they could've always secretly meet up? Especially if the Ziekervilles & the Asogis had some kind of polycule going on?)
Lady Baskerville x Evie Vigil (they have the vibes like they met up in a writers' group & later fell in love by collabing on a steamy romance-mystery novel. Hmm. Maybe they try & react all the scenes & storylines they've written, you know, "for research?". Love this! I may actually write this one)
Rei x Barok (Rei would have to be aged up here/Barok aged down. Either way, I kind of love the idea of him swooping in & saving her -- she loves a gallant, chivalrous, handsome man after all! Bonus points if there's a scene where they have to bandage each other or Barok seductively pour wine over one of his chest wounds to clean them before Rei bandages him. This one's giving me "Barok international sexy seductive superspy" vibes, although it totally makes sense in canon, given how often he's attacked. This is an oddly fun idea to me --- I may write this one.)

Barok x Irene Adler (until I finished the game, my OG theory about Iris' parents were van Zieks -- that is, Barok van Zieks -- and Irene Adler had a happy marriage before the Professor case + Barok's depression era happened. Irene later decided to leave Barok without telling him she was pregnant. She later gave baby Iris to Sholmes, her good friend, hoping that Iris would have a stable, happy home with him, before dying in childbirth.
Obviously, jossed by the canon, but now that I know that Sholmes himself sometimes crossdresses as Irene Adler & he is Iris' father, this is actually plausible! I'm so pleased because I can finally write a lighter version of this story! Plus, I'm a Vanlock shipper, so it's perfect! I'm definitely going to do a love triangle thing when I get to writing this one.
