Hm, the unboxing that I was a bit uneasy about. First flower, and as the Japanese fandom pointed out, the boxing in combination with design leads to probability of breakage.
In any case, folks who have been following me know I do a lot of other DIY Elpis flower stuff so this isn't too disappointing as I will be sacrificing this one for science in the future.

Why would I be embarrassed for having interests I enjoy? My guess is that you’re really, really young. And that maybe you don’t actually have solid relationships with adults who have lives outside of parenting or work. But I hope for you that when you’re my age you have hobbies that bring you happiness. And that by that point you realize that trying to shame someone for being an adult only makes you look too immature to be in adult spaces, which Tumblr is.
When I was 20, I loved music, making art, writing and reading good stories, fashion, talking about popular culture, making friends, going to concerts… You’d be surprised how little changes when you’re my age. I just have way more money and time to enjoy those things now. I’m only 55. I’m not dead. I’m also not a “granny”, but even if I was, I’d probably still like all of those things.
Ageism isn’t cute, love. And I sure don’t ever see people telling men they shouldn’t go to football games or have their little “fantasy football leagues” or wear their favorite player’s merch. For every comment you guys like to say is misogynistic (but isn’t), this is one that really reeks of it.

No matter how much various organisations profit from scaremongering about the 'ravages of time', getting older isn't some inevitable obsolescence or massive abjuring of all previous enjoyments! You have more experience, often more comfort in your own self - and certainly less inclination to be shamed for your interests by a random anonymous Tumblr user.
God, I remember how thankful I was to enter fandom and discover that it was full of older women, because I was so scared that I would have to give up my interests and turn boring like every adult woman I knew.
What is wrong with these people? Do they seriously think they will never grow up? Why would you want a world where you will age out of the hobbies you love?
I love when younger people try to police what I do and what I like, and think that their bullying will fucking work. Like, I have a job, disposable income, and free time to do whatever I like. You're doing homework and have to ask permission to use the car. It's like an ant screaming at an elephant. Get out of here.
