wouldn’t it be interesting if the concept of the vampires being beautiful is much less a physical aspect but instead a subtle mental thing? like hear me out. all vampires having an innate ability to be perceived as attractive so as to lure in prey, with humans basically being tricked into seeing a beauty that might not be entirely there. and then there’s bella (and charlie, to some extent) who isn’t affected by this, coming to forks, and seeing the cullens as they truly look, and wondering why no one sees how ravaged jasper looks, how sickly edward is, etc etc,.
