So I just learned you wrote the Books of Magic series which inspired JK Rowling and gave her a lot of her ideas. How does that feel?

Well, I definitely wrote the original Books of Magic series back in 1989. And while I created a bespectacled 12 year old boy who was going to learn magic, and his owl, I very much doubt that it inspired JK Rowling or gave her ideas. I doubt she had heard of it.
