Hello Everyone,

I know it has been awhile since I have posted a personal post so I wanted to send a quick update about everything that has been happening in my life!

First of all, thank you to all of my new followers!  It means so much to me :)

Second of all, I wanted to update you all.  I have decided to go vegan.  I have been a vegetarian for more than 6 or 7 years now and that has been great but I have just reached a point in my life where I want to contribute more.  For the past 6-7 years I’ve been vegetarian I haven’t drank milk, frankly because I don’t like milk and I find it weird to drink it.  Instead I have been using almond milk which I love.  I did eat yogurt, eggs, cheese, cream cheese, etc.  I’m cutting all of that out.  I have 4 chickens at home that we love and adore and they are also producing eggs naturally, so I will be eating those because it would be wasteful not to and the chickens don’t need them for food.  Any other dairy product I am eliminating and if there are eggs not from my chickens I will be not eating those. I don’t want to label myself as purely vegan for that reason but I do consider myself to be a vegan.

I am entering my second week of this.  I’m going to call myself 90% vegan.  Some things at my dining hall are not clearly labeled so if they are vegetarian and appear to be vegan I will eat them but I will be avoiding obvious non-vegan foods.  It has definitely been hard but I haven’t made that many changes since I tend to avoid dairy anyways.  If I accidentally eat something that contains dairy in it I am not going to be hard on myself since it is so hard to control everything at a college dining hall but once I can cook for myself again, it’s pure vegan!

Also!  As far as working out goes.  I have been running captains practices for my swim team and our season starts on Monday!  I am so excited to get back into the routine of things and to also be the captain with one of my best friends and teammates!
