I hate having anxieties that no one understands because they weren't abused as a kid. I can't talk to anyone because they don't understand.

âjealousy is so disgustingâ âanger is so toxicâ did u know? these are emotions every human has
Iâve always been a fan of an analogy I heard once. Your emotions are like one of the lights on your carâs dash. When one of them turns on, it means you need to check under the hood and fix them. Itâs not bad that the light turned on, per se, and it doesnât always mean something is broken. But what IS toxic, dangerous, and likely to break something, is when you let that light stay on, pretending itâs normal, until that braking fluid finally fails and you crash into someone, or your engine fails completely.
Feel jealous. Feel anger.Â
Just donât let it fester. You need to look inside of yourself, find out why youâre feeling the way you are, and bring yourself to a satisfied, stable state of mind. You can look at philosophy, meditation/introspection, religion, or actual therapy, or at least talking to someone about it. Youâll find youâre much more content and happy when you do something about those feelings, and come to some sort of conclusion or resolution.
That is a  wonderful way of looking at it, thankyou. Makes me feel better about myself when I DO feel that way.
I reblog this every time I see it, because itâs one of lifeâs hardest lessons.

Back in middle school, my friends and I used a very simple coded language for writing secret messages. I saw some posts about needing to hide oneâs beliefs from partners/bosses/parents so I wanted to share it with you! These would also be great to incorporate into sigils since they are simple lines and dots.
Aw, this is cute.
Honestly I canât believe that Iâm watching this right now. This is This is the sweetest most gentle and loving and pure thing Iâve ever beheld and I feel so blessed to have seen this

Shel Silverstein wanted to say something very wise. So he wrote a childrenâs book.
I couldnât fully appreciate these as a kid. Iâm so glad to see these. Shel Silverstein was so magnificent.
My entire childhood.
Yassssssss Iâve loved these since I was little

I was thrilled to pieces when I saw this scene. Disney could have written Gideon off like some bully character who never really amounted to anything, or got what was coming to him like a lot of those characters do in their movies. Gideon made something of himself. Heâs a pastry chef, something thatâs not traditionally a job for men in media. And as soon as Judy speaks to him, he immediately apologizes to her. He doesnât try to shrug it off as no big deal, or say that it was just boys being boys or whatever; he knows he hurt her, and he owns up to it. And Judy immediately forgives him.Â
Well done, Disney.Â
Also the language that he used is not something that he would have most likely grown up hearing/using. Describing his failings as self-doubt that manifested into âunchecked rage and aggressionâ sounds SO MUCH like therapy speak. So heâs either gotten counseling to help him with some of his problems, or sought out literature to help himself. A++ disney :)
This movie is a treasure.
