Livestock drama
“Let’s put pool noodles on the goat’s horns!” says a teenager.
“Why would you, ” I begin, but they have already stampeded out of the house. I shrug.
It turns out that when someone puts pool noodles on a goat’s horns, the goat doesn’t really care. They’re very light, after all, and she can’t see them. You know who cares? Who cares a LOT?
the HORSE. Hero took one look at Nutmeg wearing pool noodles and ran away. You know who doesn’t want to be left alone, ever? Nutmeg. Who went trotting after Hero because he was leaving her.
Hero, seeing that the eldritch abomination was after him, picked up speed. Nutmeg went into a full run. My kids started chasing Nutmeg to get the pool noodles off her, but could not catch her, because she’s surprisingly fast. The dogs were bringing up the rear, just happy to be going for a pleasant run. Hero was in a panic, leading a parade that he did not want.
This all resolved. One noodle feel off; the kids eventually cornered Nutmeg and removed the other one. Just - a day at a farm, I guess.

I am baffled how this person that put Brazil on China and the Philippines in Chile got the country of Chad 100% correct.

Ngl, the amount of Malaysian references in No Straight Roads is literally out of the roof, especially the creators themselves are Malaysian and they wanted to make our culture shine. Though, I wanna clear out some things from a Malaysian perspective.
Like for example, Akusuka district? It's basically Aku and Suka mixed into one, and those means 'I like'.
DK West? Hoo boy, there are a lot of people saying DK West is African/Samoan/Jamaican. Actually, he's Malaysian, specifically a Malay, based on his language alone. In case you guys are wondering, the way he speaks is a mix of 'rojak' languages, meaning he mixed Malay and English in his dialogue, a nod to Malaysians commonly used in their daily lives.
Oh, and his boss fight? The shadow behind him isn't a spirit like the Jojo reference, that's actually a shadow puppet. Fun fact, DK West name is a pun from Dikir Barat, a traditional Northern Malaysia dance, which Dikir is DK and Barat means west in Malay. Dikir Barat also uses shadow puppet during the dance and the rhythm rap part? In my opinion, the rap part wasn't meant to be rhymed, Dikir Barat is more onto singing morals. Plus, if you noticed DK West first appearance, seems like he and Zuke originated from the villages. That scene where he was at the paddy field also nod to old Malaysian cartoons like Upin dan Ipin and Pada Zaman Dahulu, both shows took place in a village
The BAKAT Awards that Yinu got? Bakat means talent in Malay. The Shellfish ad by SAYU? A reference to Mamee Monster, a local Malaysian snack that consist of dried ramen noodles. I could literally go on and on about this but do feel free to ask more about the Malaysian reference in this game!
The rat said this
I love that the death animations seem random each time like sometimes the imposter’s chest opens up n eats u and sometimes they just snap your neck. sometimes its a knife or a gun. like imagine if the xenomorph in alien was sneaking around and eating ppl but he also had a glock. that would be sick as fuck i think
that’s also interesting bc it implies some imposters are like monster creatures and some are just nasty people. you arrive to your sabotage job with your glock in hand and your coworker is like “yeah can’t wait to eat these guys” and you just have to be like “👀 damn for real? me, uh. me too, man.”
Now I love this proposal because it implies they’re hired hitmen, but each from completely different species, or even have different motives
living in the suburbs is like mall. Movies. Mall again. Go to target. Go to gamestop. Back to the mall. Barnes and noble. Back to the mall. Chili’s. Back to the mall. Eat hot chip. Lie. And I’m SICK of it!!!!!
I’m sorry god please forgive me I would give anything to go to Barnes and noble and then dinner at Chili’s with a lava mountain cake please lord take me back I’ll never complain again
