Marcela had a girlfriend -- Ryan -- before she was embraced.

The fateful night she came across Bailey, Marcela and Ryan got into a fight like couples do sometimes. They stormed off in opposite directions, Ryan going to a local sandwich shop to calm down and get dinner.

Marcela... never came back.

While searching, Ryan found a dried sticky pool of blood at the foot of a hill. Blood on the stones that went down the hillside. She -- she knew, then, she just knew, who it had belonged to. Maybe that's why Ryan kept looking even when she was told not to.

Nikolai had really enjoyed their first date so although he still wasn’t certain that they’d be able to make a relationship work given their different beliefs, he wanted to at least try. He had never really been a hugely romantic person but after the effort that Ryan had gone to for their first date, he had spent some time researching ideas for a second date -- before eventually deciding that he would take her to an authentic French bakery about thirty minutes from campus so that they could make their own picnic basket. He pulled up outside Ryan’s dorm just before 12pm, flicking her a quick text message to let her know that he was outside. @ryanmillermu

Lola had let her friends know that if they wanted to spend New Years Day recovering from their hangovers by swimming and watching movies, they were more than welcome to stop by the house that she and Ollie shared. The side gate had been left open so that people could walk themselves into the back garden / entertaining area; which is where Lola was currently wearing a swimsuit and sunbathing. When a familiar face walked into the garden, she was quick to get to her feet and hug them in greeting. “Happy new year, it’s really good to see you”.
