Love will not fix Mavka but it’s like. A reasonable start. It’s not even a reasonable start for Yvette though, as her narrative is not fundamentally about self-actualization and love, but the fleshy reality of conviction and what the loss of it does to a person

Yvette is a stone ocean oc. she'd be 33 by 2011 (April 18th, making her an aries). shes also a cis lesbian. she's 5'9". this is important info Yvette is French Canadian I should add but anyway her life was pretty eventful, she got into university for mechanical engineering and married her university sweetheart. They both graduated and moved to the states (more specifically they lived in Pennsylvania). Yvette would slowly realize that something wasn't sitting well with her life and she wasn't exactly sure what it was, so she would change jobs a lot and would pick up new hobbies and drop them. She would slowly come to realize (after exhausting all other possible solutions) that maybe her marriage was what was wrong. she thought maybe she wasn't doing enough or that it needed to be spiced up all the while Yvette thought she loved her husband but really she loved him the same way you'd love your best friend. admittedly Yvette jumping the gun to marry him was mostly pressure from both of their families. either way Yvette at some point (to her great joy) ends up getting pregnant after they talked about wanting to have a kid (Yvette also thinking maybe this is what was missing but she also would've loved to be a mother anyway so two birds with one stone), which is great and she wants to keep it! her husband decided he didn't. and thus would begin a long period of physical abuse towards Yvette, and said abuse would cause her to miscarriage. the heavy strain on her health and Yvette's inexplicable sadness of losing her kid because of her husband would result in her burning down their house with him in it (arson with the intent of murder (which succeeded)). shes caught before she could leave, although I believe she wouldn't know what to immediately do and just wanted to get back to him for everything he'd done to her. she gets arrested and is convicted of second degree murder, which guarantees her the death penalty, but a plea deal saves her from the chair and just has her serving a life sentence. she gets imprisoned in 2009. six months before the events of stone ocean she gets transferred to gdst prison, all the while throughout her entire term she was working in the prison various jobs trying to gain pardon. upon being transferred to gdst she finds a spot to becoming an apprentice to the prison church's priest, and thinking this is a very Noble sort of job to have (despite Yvette not being religious at all), she works closely affiliated with father Pucci and two other women... and she doesn't really get the whole Christianity thing or the other ulterior motives about heaven 😊 she just wants out anyway yes it's very rough out there for her but she ends. up having her lesbian awakening.. in prison nonetheless ✌️
