going along with the percy being connected with the sirens headcanon thing

its not charmspeak in the way piper has (though love the idea that it makes percy slightly immune to her charmspeak anyways), and it isnt really hypnotizing either.

but its his singing. it's why he intentionally sounds bad when around the campfire, never singing for real. instead when he's actually singing, his voice is so soft and powerful and stabs needles straight into listeners hearts.

there's nothing necessarily manipulative or mind controly about it, but depending on the song it drives such a sense of wanting and longing and nostalgia and yearning into anyone listening.

it almost always ends with everyone else in tears that he normally avoids it all together.

The fact that we never get Mikes perspective post s2 makes me think that he’s actually more aware of his own feelings than he appears

Where people will hold back telling Carmy important things because they don't want him to feel bad?

AND whenever he's told something important he turns it around to be about HIMSELF

What he should have done, instead of the actual solution to the problem or issue at hand

He's always have to look out for Carmy, make sure he didn't get in trouble. Basically babying him

But since Carmy insulted him from the walk-in he's not holding back on Carmy ANYMORE

Carmy went from a baby to Donna in that walk-in

So people are stopping being his accomplice

i think the only way you get deku to be more careful and less reckless with himself in his hero work is telling him that you'll follow him if he dies

i hope, out of all of the moments in this episode that we analysispost about this week, we talk about rand’s letter to his family at least once. not only is it a fantastic device in showing how far he as a character has come from the first episode where he met him, but i’m so impressed the word choice that bizly used when rand was writing it, and he deserves as much respect on his name for as other moments across the campaigns we’ve gotten to share with these boys so far :)
