not a fan of the puritanical views of nosferatu i see going around. they're so lazy and absolutely lacking in media literacy.

nosferatu isn't an allegory for grooming. that's the literal, and incorrect interpretation. the theme is sexual repression under puritanism. orlok represents ellen's shame, inner darkness, and deepest desires.

even in the script it says, of the ending where ellen and orlok have their moment of connection, that ellen is finally at peace. finally fulfilled.
