ok. those not even thirty minutes of weird route content are genuinely the most atrocious and terrifying things ive ever seen in a videogame.
forcibly dragging kris out of bed just as their mother tells them no one can do that. toriel talking about asriel being off at college like its the problem here because she has no clue what is going on with her child. the blank textboxes, kris being practically catatonic and completely unresponsive. susie trying desperately to cheer them up and the few times she actually succeeds, showing that they're still in there, they're still conscious. the slowed music. the empty hometown. rudy sat next to the ladder talking about holidays being full of surprises. holidays and Holidays.
noelle's smile. noelle's panicked pleas to break her free from the hell she's trapped in. her own parallels to kris in feeling like someone is living her life for her while she rots. her breaking, quivering voice when she speaks, and the complete lack thereof when she knows you can hear her anyways.
everything about that ending sequence. noelle taking kris' hand and guiding them slowly towards the lake. the option to turn back eventually disappearing. the noise. the way it rises in aggression and intensity until the static and the ambiance and the sound effects melt and mix together into a horrible scream.
i don't think chapter 7 is going to happen in the current layer of the game. i am terrified and horribly excited for whats to come. i hate everything about this.
The patriarchy is not the exclusive product of a small handful of rich white cis men which really doesn't actually benefit anyone in particular you stupid dipshit.
being in love with a fictional character is wild like what do you MEAN i’ll never feel their hands on my waist?? what do you MEAN they’ll never lean in real slow and say my name like it means something?? and what do you MEAN they’re not real??
10 year old Tim Drake: so anyway I was reading on the bench and Mark— Jason Todd, Robin: *leaning on gargoyle to listen to Stalker Kid* who’s mark again? Tim: the school bully. Remember? Anyway—Mark was like, “that’s a book for girls”. Jason: *doing mental math* wasn’t the book your English assignment? Tim: YEAH! so he’s like “are you a girl?” And I’m like “If you’re the paragon of masculinity as you suggest, then a girl seems the better alternative—“ Jason: *chokes* Tim: and he shoves his middle finger in my face, calls me a bitch, and walks away like a coward Jason: wait, hold up. Aren’t you like . . . Five years old Tim: nine. And a half Jason: you—he called a BABY a BAD WORD what the FUCK Tim: Jason: that’s it. I’m coming to school with you tomorrow. And I’m gonna bring my Batphone. It’s like a megaphone but it’s black—don’t ask. Anyway, if the little fucker does it again I’m gonna blow his ears off with so much abuse he hears my voice in his nightmares for decades Tim: Tim: you do know he’s my age, right? Jason: do I look like I care? Tim: Tim: you know, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t wanna see that. Bruce, who has heard this entire conversation over the comms: Alfred: *mildly* you know, I’ve not heard Master Jason curse once within the manor. That was certainly an interesting conversation.
This was meant to be cute and funny, but I can’t stop thinking about how deeply touching this moment is—watching Ilya sit there, enjoying pasta at the Hollander’s, feeling so safe in a way he probably never has before. He looks relaxed, genuinely at ease, like his body finally understands that it doesn’t need to stay braced for impact. For someone who never knew peace in his home in Moscow, that ease feels monumental. Even in the middle of chaos, there’s warmth in the air, love that doesn’t have to be earned, and Ilya can feel it. In that moment, he knows he’ll be accepted here—that the worst of Shane’s family is still a thousand times gentler and more loving than the very best he ever had back home. And that realization, for him, is everything.
"Ilya wanted to tell Shane that it had been one of the best days of his life. It had been awkward, sure, but Ilya felt that, if he hadn’t quite been already, he would be welcomed into Shane’s family, and that was no small thing. In fact, to Ilya, who had barely been welcome in his own family, it was huge."
im so glad we have Biologically Female Wombyxxn as allies to explain to us clueless trannies that real women do in fact face oppression, something we could never understand or have anything worthwhile to say about ever.
