I love that Kai’s reaction the first time he saw Inge use the divine thorn was “Remind me not to spook you!” Yeah, out of universe it’s just one of the ambient lines he says after witnessing any stealth attack. But in universe, it’s characterisation!! With everything we know about him, it makes perfect sense that he’d take the Envoy revealing a strange and frightening new ability in his stride (or at least appear to do so). Meanwhile, Inge was bluescreening because they’ve spent so long seeing themself as the emperor’s precious living weapon and now this new guy is… making a JOKE about their power? Shrugging it off?? It doesn’t even seem to have changed the way he views/interacts with them??? What is happening.

The fire escape is rusted enough to screech just loud enough to make him wince; pause, wait, in the hopes the noise hadn't alerted any of the night guards. Not that he thinks they would stop him: after all, most of them don't know about his firing from Henry.

But it is so typical that he forgets the animatronics. Forgets the nature of the animatronics. William is clever, and he is cunning, but he is self-centered. It is so hard to factor in thought for his crimes when the crimes are so far from his main focus of tonight. And so he continues moving, easing his way into the pizzeria, that old worn springlock rabbit suit protesting at the movement, only to halt sharply at the sight.

William has so little patience or care for his victims, or these old animatronics when he's preoccupied building bigger, better ones, but Foxy has always unnerved him, just a little.
