summary: he refuse to acknowledge the fact that he is in love with you.
your first meeting with oushi wasn't really that pleasant, atleast for him it wasn't.
he was feeling down that time since he just got rejected by the girl that he liked since childhood. while his friends nagged him about finding a "comfort" place where he can relax. you casually joined the conversation, putting down two coupons of an animal cafe in front of him.
“ wanna go with me here then, ashioki-kun? ”
he looked at your calm expression with the look saying- 'have you finally lost your mind?' but you only tilted your head.
because first of all, the two of you weren't close at all! hell! you weren't even acquaintances! sure, he knew you since you were pretty famous on being the university's mascot because of how clumsy you were despite of having a cool visual but still-!
there's no woman who is right on their mind to invite a man who they doesn't even close with on a date!
but, yeah. before he even knew it, he was already in the said cafe with you while he busied herself on patting the rabbits.
and he completely regretted getting worked up earlier after knowing the reason why you had invited him on the first place.
your friends were busy, and they kept telling you that you need to unwind because they cannot afford their stress reliever to be stress.
“ and what does it have to do with me? ”
he couldn't help but to ask while you stared intently at him. then, you blow on your hot coffee ( oushi wants to tell you that time to order an iced latte if you can't handle hot beverages in the first place. but he kept his mouth shut.)
“ cause you looked stress this past few days. ”
he was taken aback. normally, he would be creeped out by hearing it from his friends. but from you? it was surprisingly pleasant to hear.
but... wait- does that mean you were observing him in the first place?!
so, that's how your first meeting and outing with oushi went. everyone said that the two of you had went on a very romantic date. when in the truth was oushi spent his time glaring at you (and you didn't know why, but decided to ignore it anyway) while you observed how he practically melt while playing with the small animals.
and for the first time in your life, you had agreed with your friends that it was indeed fun spending time with your "comfort person."
oushi had noticed that you had always been a very straightforward type of person.
you never hesitate saying whatever you had in your mind. you also does well in your studies and one of the student leaders on the university.
he could understand why everyone admires you. men and women alike seemed to fuss over whenever you were around.
you were cool, calm- a walking definition of an honor student. but the only flaw that you had is the fact that you were way too... clumsy.
there was this time when he saw you adjusting your glasses despite of wearing contact lenses. complaining on why the computer's mouse doesn't click but the truth was you were holding a small box instead of a computer. how there were some times you accidentally showed him a picture of a cat and not the activity that the two of you got assigned to.
but what amazed him the most is the fact that you always brushed it off as if nothing had happened.
he didn't know the reason why but after visiting that cafe with you. it seems like you and oushi had become more closer to one another.
you started greeting him every morning which he only replies with a simple hum. you started sitting with him during lunch. and more importantly- he started to notice some useless detail about you.
like how you were not good with hot beverages and spent half an hour to cool it down. how you usually wear contacts but wears glasses when you oversleeps. how you seemed to like ( favorite bread ) over ( random bread ) that everyone gave you.
it was so useless to the point that he wanted to cry.
no, no, no, there was no way he was in love again. he just got dumped! there was no way he would move on that fast! and the worst is the fact that he actually fell in love "everyone's beloved ( name )"?! no way! it was way too fast!
that was why, despite of his hesitation- he decided to swallow his pride and consult itsuomi about this.
and that guy, itsuomi actually told him that he was in love while he casually ate curry in front of oushi.
he wanted to lash out, cry even. oushi started to wonder if he had always been this type of a guy.
yeah, no. maybe this was just a phase that will pass quickly.
but then, the next day when he saw you again. he felt his resolve had crumble by the time you smiled at him.
you were about to ask him if he wanted to go to that cafe again when he suddenly ran away leaving you confuse.
while oushi, on the other hand, had ran to the comfort room and entered one of the cubicle. his face were flushed and his breathing were ragged. he hated this.
he hated the feeling of his knees getting weak in front of you. how his heart beat faster just by seeing your smile. and how he found you beautiful despite of being a complete dumb idiot.
ah, fuck- even he denies it. he was already at the point of no return. again.
