I feel like it’s not talked about enough the labour of being chronically ill. you have to use your spoons and energy for the things you need to survive. there isn’t much energy left for the things you enjoy. all your energy goes into working and trying to keep your barely functioning body alive. you wake up, you try to function, and you’re out of energy. when you have free time, you’re so fatigued and filled with depression that you can’t even do what you enjoy. in your mind, you want to do the things that make you happy but getting out of bed or trying to function takes such a toll on your body. there’s no room left for the hobbies, art, interests that you used to enjoy doing so much without any issues.
