Black Butler Daemon (His Dark Materials) AU, right? Sebastian doesn’t have a daemon. Everyone’s unnerved, scared, physically repulsed. Sebastian has to fucking make one up with his own magic, maybe. Or he says it’s like a mouse and it’s in his jacket or something. Or he pretends his Mistress is his daemon, but she obviously is not.
Ciel’s daemon is obviously a part of him so Sebastian can touch it (if someone ever catches that then they’re naturally weirded out, concerned, sickened, whatever) or use it to prove a point to show who’s boss in those “I’m a demon milord lol u forgot or something?” moments like grabbing her by her neck or something.
Ciel hoping his daemon turns into the same as his father’s despite the likely truth that he won’t age enough for his daemon’s form to finalise. (Obviously it was a dog. All the Queen’s Watchdogs’ daemons are, one way or another, a dog.)
Soma and Agni’s daemons being cuddle together, or at least Agni’s grooming (cleaning) Soma’s. Lizzie’s daemon practically tackling Ciel’s, or showing the ‘truer’ emotions, Ciel’s approaches Lizzie’s curiously whilst Lizzie is already running over.
The grim reapers possibly having scavenger daemons (hyenas, vultures, etc) that could be headcanoned by the fandom (if we’re being meta about it) to have changed post-death. Bizarre dolls either don’t have Daemons, or the daemons are considerably weakened / will come back in time / also need to be reanimated / wtv.
Bard’s daemon is a porcupine. That feels natural to me, I feel like the servants are all rodents one way or another and I can try to be convinced otherwise, but atm I’m particularly set on it.
