idk man show me another piece of media where the character that has been consistently comedic relief for the entire runtime ends up committing a purposeful, pivotal act of violence in the finale, in a way that is both narratively satisfying and completely in-character. because Matsuda Touta’s sudden explosion into tearful betrayed rage at light in the warehouse was one of the best moments in the entire show
#Matsuda touta#when he shoots light it’s. it’s a surprise#but it’s also so incredibly in character#it’s a shock that gives way to catharsis#and not in a ‘’Matsu getting his lick back after being dunked on’ way it’s more#if anyone in that warehouse was going to try to kill light with his bare bass#*hands#you wouldn’t think of Matsuda first. but Matsuda doing it Makes Sense.#Matsuda; the kindest of the task force members. emotionally the simplest. the smiliest. he takes light’s betrayal Personally.#and my god Matsuda does not fucking miss
